Not sure what I said you are in disagreement with. If your brand new tractor has a leak due to a loose fitting, are you going to go to your tool box, grab two wrenches and tighten it, or are you going to go without the ability to use it, call the dealer and have a mechanic grab two wrenches and tighten it?

Where is the leak? And yes, you can take it to any Mahindra dealer.

Ok thanks toyou all - turns out i had to stand on the actual 2" 2.5" 3" etc metal half moon pieces for height adjustment to drive the rest of the unit down - it worked it was so tight you had to do it. also i just found a front right hydraulic leak - ****. That had better be covered under warranty.

:) Thanks again everyone....I had another tractor guy who rebuild s them check and he was questioning this too.... we both could not figure why it did not drop down all the way.

Wish I would have seen this post sooner or I would have helped you out. Can I assume by this that you mean you have the mower attached now and are all good? (except for the leak)? I'm trying to visualize what "half moon" pieces your are talking about that you had to stand on to get loose. Are you talking about where the long height adjustment pin goes in at the rear with the white sticker below the rear PTO? Yes, that whole bracket assembly should swing up and down freely and is raised by the 3pt arms. There are grease zerks on both sides of that bracket where it attaches that probably need attention. Lower your 3-pt arms all the way down, and in fact if you remove the draw bar completely it will drop down even further. You should then be able to rotate that bracket up and down freely by hand to get the quick clevises attached into to the tension rods.

Yes it is the height adjustment in the back . it is very sticky - i will have to grease it all up but since it is going is for 50 hr service they will probably grease it all up anyway! At least now i know what the issue is and how to get it working. Thanks again!

I prefer a dry moly spray to grease. Grass dose not stick to it. If your tractor less than 2 years from purchase date you should have no problem with warranty. Any certified Mahindra dealer can do warranty work. FYI I do quite a bit of little warranty jobs, tighten a hose, tighten a bolt, adjust the creep. Mahindra will pay for the work but it costs more to do the paperwork than we recover. Anything over 2 years I just do the repair and throw the customer a bone. It makes the customer happy when they ask how much and I say no charge.

Wish people like you and dave's tractor were my neighbors. the other dealer told me you did not buy the tractor from us - so our customers come first - and kind of was condescending to me for dealing with them. Geez. i was to become a new customer and use them for all servicing etc.

This is another good example of why its important to find and use a good dealer. Good customer service will always bring the customer back and potentially attract new customers. Our dealership has benefited from that many times were a customer was unhappy with their dealer and heard of us through word of mouth.

tough when there is only 2 -3 dealers around here and even then it is a real drive.

the place said they would pick up the tractor tues or wed. nothing called today - and they still weren't had to lean on them a bit. head service guy said on sat. you cannot be on a waiting list - when your tractor arrives here in the yard it goes on the list. not when i called to setup pickup. when i talked to the other guy today - he said that's wrong - so that is why i wanted to get it in so i could be on the list - already a 3-4 week waiting list. I was waiting and checking phone messages for 2 days and planned on today - hopefully later today they will pick it up. I really have been questioning my sanity for buying it...

I try to turn machines around in 3 or 4 days. I cant imagine telling a customer they have too wait 3 or 4 weeks. Simple repairs and service I can usually turn around in a day and we are a multi brand dealership. :)

Thanks - maybe you can see why i am a bit perturbed - too many stores from different people there. I do understand - sometimes of the year are more hectic or a serious farmer just needs his piece of equipment.l than others

I'm curious what other brands and types of equipment your dealer sells. :detective:
