Tires axle bolts

   / axle bolts #11
I have a 2004 kubota b7510 with a back hoe and bucket. My axle bolts keep loosing up on me. I have tighten them to 108 ft-lbs like the manual says. I drove the tractor just about 1000ft and they loosen up on me. Does anyone have an answer to this? Do i need new axle bolts, lock washers and nuts? Should i use locking nuts instead?

If they loosen in a thousand feet you got serious issues.

Do you mean the axle clamps or the wheel to hub???

Maybe I missed something but I remember reading something about rear wheel fasteners would loosen if you used the backhoe and had the wheels off the ground and brake off. At my age who knows what I read!

sandyc don't know what you read but having the wheels off the ground and using backhoe won't cause the wheels to loosen.

Ok. I traded in my 2920 and don't have a by. I wonder if I can read that in one of the manuals. Oh well, no problem. Time for my nap to get ready for some snow blowing tomorrow. + 20 inches expected for this storm.
