I was curious about the cramping so I looked it up.

Why does mustard help with leg cramps?
Cramps can be caused by a deficiency in acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that stimulates muscles to work. Mustard contains acetic acid, which helps the body produce more acetylcholine.

As always, nice work Brandi....

Brandi,
First 2 surgeries were when I just bought my farm and while attempting to patch the roof on the old ragged farmhouse (now destined to be demolished), the ladder slipped and I fell about 8 feet. I dislocated my left foot and had to have surgery in Memphis emergency on a Saturday night after all the gunshots, car wrecks and knife fighters were treated to relocate the foot and pin. 3 months after a 12 week recovery back in O.R.in Birmingham UAB hospital to repair the damage done by rookie surgeons in Memphis.
Then tore Meniscus in right knee resulting in a surgery to repair it. Next was left foot again to repair 'hammer toes' due to original injury from dislocation tendon damage. All the surgeries required at least 12 weeks recovery.
After 2 knee scopes and every kind of bird poo, fake cartilage, regenerating miracle drug and thrice a year cortisone injections- had total knee replacement June 13- My wife's birthday!!
On week 4 of recovery and pulled a hamstring yesterday doing PT exercises!!
Decided I am ok with a permanent limp as long as I can crawl on a tractor!:cool2:

Beautiful place! Your pond is really nice looking Brandi. I have seen a few products to treat ponds and was curious if yours helps control weeds too, or is it a basic bio dye? I wish we could cost effectively treat our neighborhood ponds, but during large rains a lot of water is replaced, so probably not cost effective.

Stay cool! Going to be hot for a while...

Thanks Snowback. It's a lotta work, but I love it. The dye just blocks out the sun/algae growth cycle. No weed killing. It does need recurrent treatment after rains. I use Blue Bayou. It is cheaper and lasts longer than Aquashade. I also put cornmeal in for stopping algae.
hugs, Brandi

Girl ... you impress me and I'm sure others on the forum !!!!
Thanks BR. I do get PMs from time to time saying the same thing! On another note, I bought me a very special birthday gift. It's a Hobart 210 MVP. First welder I ever owned. So after some practice....................I will be giving your welding skills a run for the money. First project...........ruining good metal. Second project(s).........building water gates for fences around the pond.

But it won't be this month. I need to get an Epidermal Inclusion Cyst removed. It's under the toe I had hammertoe surgery on 6 years ago. It is ain't one thing..............it's another. Two week recovery time after removal. Limping along right now. Which is okay in this heat.
hugs, Brandi

Oh, that's a new one. I eat bananas or take potassium tablets. Both work well to avoid cramps. I guess mustard has lots of potassium?

Yes, it basically does the same thing. I've heard pickle juice does the trick also.

Oh WOW. Rookie ER doctors! Did the ER pay for the corrective surgery(s)?
I agree to the limp.............as long as we both can get on the tractor.

Monday morning, my son Luke, and my friend Brady are giving me moral support. 7-4-16 Brady & Luke Chillin'.jpg Luke calls the ducks The Comedy Club.

Here is the remains of the Sweetgum's stump hole. Notice the ducks elbowing in to see what is new to eat. 7-4-16 Huge Sweetgum Hole.jpg

The only casualty of the day was the 4 foot high Cypress tree I planted on the island 3 years ago. 7-4-16 Island Cypress Tree Survived Pine Falling On It.jpg

I pushed all the trees into the pond. It was really the only place to drop them. 7-4-16 Last Pine Felled in the Pond.jpg7-4-16 Last Two Pine Trees Down.jpg

This is as low as the siphon pipe from the small pond lowered it. 7-4-16 Small Pond Draining.jpg I'll have to get the 2 inch Honda pump out and lower the water to cut and cap that pipe.

I've been around for a while but I don't have the experience that many of you do. So I keep quiet, read and learn and pipe up when I think I have something to offer. The TYM has been trouble free for the most part and does what I need it to do, mostly help with firewood and snow clearing.

I could not even get them to send medical records to me, always claimed they were in the mail. Gave up and moved on, a real MD took good care of me and I just went on with my life. The hammer toe surgery sure did hurt!!
Does the cornmeal keep algae under control or eliminate it??

BTW
Good place to learn some welding tricks, thought I would pass it on.
