I have a 2015 F350 Platinum with the sunroof. I'm 6-2" and have no issues whatsoever hitting my head on it. The seat is so adjustable, it is almost unconcevable to not be able to find a comfy spot.
went by the dealer again and no matter how I adjusted the seat my head was still firmly pressed into the edge of the moonroof. I have lots of torso for my height and only 32" legs.

You must, wow. I'm 6' 4" with a 34 inch inseam and my head doesn't hit the headliner (2015 RAM 3500 with sun roof).

Well now I don't know what to do...

When I was by the dealer yesterday to check out a vehicle in the same color as the lariat F350 that they were going to bring in for me we got to talking about F250's. They have a couple of what is called the F250 Western Edition in stock. It is basically a fancied up XLT F250. Has bucket seats, backup camera, remote start, tailgate step, step bars and more as part of a quick order package that gets a hefty discount. Unfortunately that package isn't available on the F350 for the price break.

Well, the wife and I drove the Western Edition 250 and we both loved it. Yes the lariat is awesome, but this had everything we need to be comfortable for some time to come. Next we went inside and talked price. It was $14000 less then the F350 lariat.

So now I am searching ford inventor online looking for a similarly equipped F350 to see pricing. It is right in the middle of the two. $7000 more then the 250 and 7000 less then the lariat. I am so unsure which to pick now. The 250 is perfectly matched to our current trailer towing needs, but leaves us little room to upgrade. The XLT 350 gives us room for upgraded trailers, mainly the option of. 5th wheel in the future, but is $7000 enough of a discount to forgo the comfort of the lariat? I really want to go with the 250 because it easily fits in our budget, and the lariat is still doable, but leaves me less freedom on other things.

I would skip the 250 if it just fits your needs. You need to plan for the future.

The only difference between the 250 and 350 is the rear leaf pack. That is something that can easily be added at a later time.

It doesn't change the truck legally. The GVWR is set at the factory.

You can add leafs for actual load capacity increase, but the door tag GCVR will likely be higher on the F350, and keep you out of hot water with the DOT.

You could swap in an F550 suspension (bolt in swap, capable of 20k plus) into my F350, but the door tag will still read 15k...

Edit: diamondpilot beat me to it, likely because of fewer words!

We opted to de-rate the new F250 Diesel which is also a F350 no cost option.

Same truck with a lower rating to get under the 10k threshold.

The local Dealer said about half the F250 and 350 Diesels ordered are de-rated to come in just under 10k... helps a lot when set up for towing too...

In a perfect world such games would not be necessary....
