Setup a search filter on Craigslist directly. It has options for search nearby locations itself now. No need for 3rd party stuff. Can set the search filters to Email as well.

I appreciate all the responses. I have decided to stock with CL in light of all the different searches. I have come across many that I did not see before. If I can find heavy duty used, I will be thrilled.

What's your price range?

I think I'm going to sell my land pride hrl 3578 with hydraulic scarifiers. It's 78" wide and weighs 981 pounds.

Shipping could be a killer but maybe not. I bought it from Texas and had it shipped to MA.

If you have hydraulic scarifiers we will not be in the same ball park. Let's just say there are a couple I'm looking at relatively close by that are 450-550. Appreciate the offer though.

Found a 6' Bush Hog 256 with this gear box.

. On the listing the guy thought it was missing a stump jumper and blades [which it ended up having] listed it for $400. However I do need to buy a drive shaft for it. The bushhog sat for 2 years according to him. The gearbox seems to be in good shape after I had spun the blades and the gears got lubed

. The more I spun it the more loose and free spinning it became. There might be a possibility of a leak at a seal, but the seals seem cheap to replace if it is a leak. The guy said he believes his workers put grease on spline to remove drive shaft, which he believes it is not a leak. I believe I have found a good deal, but need some thoughts on drive shaft.

Will also accept any opinion or input.

A PTO shaft is a commodity item & about $150. Measure the length needed & take note of the shaft size & type on the gearbox then go to Tractor Supply to grab one.
