Here's a Wicked Grapple video I never get tired of watching.
I also want to see how Google+ interfaces with TBN.

Beware! It's abusive, it's politically incorrect, it's disrespectful to the tractor, it's spur of the moment, it's great!

OH. Do not try this at home. For testing purposes only. Professional driver, closed course. YMMV

EDIT:
The google+/tbn interface isn't as good as the YouTube/TBN interface.

A long time ago there was a product liability suit over someone killed or injured doing off-road stunts in a vehicle with a factory roll bar. Jeep, maybe. As evidence, the plaintiff showed the jury advertising videos of the vehicle doing off-road stunts. I think they collected. I also think that's when they started calling those factory roll bars 'lite-bars'.

I thought it was just to hold up the sun shade.

A small problem has come up with my grapple. The teeth no longer come together. EA looked into it and checked pictures I sent to them. Nothing is bent on the grapple. We restored the "bite" by chaining the lid shut and opening it four or five times, but now the teeth gap open again. Something must be wrong with the hydraulic cylinder.

That was quick.

Ted just sent me a PM and reminded me of a fix they had previously suggested.
Monday, we will adjust the rod end fitting and see if that solves the problem.

You know, a grapple or other implement is made of steel any company can buy.
Service is the thing that truly differentiates one company from another.

Thanks Ted.

A simple adjustment should take care of the gap. I can't really explain why the cylinder would do this, but it has been an efficient fix. Out of 1000++ grapples, there's been maybe ~8-10 needing adjustment.

Just remove the pin that holds the cylinder to the lid, loosen the bolt(arrow pointing to it) and turn the clevis counter clockwise. It will not take much.

Mine did it also back in the first month. As soon as I said something wondering, Travis was all over it to let me know the adjustment procedure. Never have had to touch it since and finishing up first year with it. Great product and great company!

Using it this morning to set a new desk up to the 2nd story.

Okay, finally got around to adjusting the lid. Raised the grapple to a convenient height and closed the lid as much as possible. Loosened the nut on the clevis bolt with a 5/8 ths socket and closed end wrench. Removed the clip and pulled the pin out of the clevis while lifting up the lid to take the strain off of it. Let the teeth on the lid down to the grapple. Two turns of the clevis counter clockwise lined the holes up for the pin. Just like Ted said, a small adjustment on the clevis moves the teeth a lot. Pinned, clipped and nutted it down. Now we will see how it holds up.

A one eighth inch adjustment on the clevis somehow dropped the teeth half an inch or more.

Question. I notice the 54" grapples both single and dual lid versions weigh the same, 349#. Has there been any thought of making a dual lid, 50" compact which I assume should weigh around the same 275#?

Not really. 50" really isn't enough width to justify putting a dual lid on.
Also, smaller tractors have lower flow, which would slow down the cycle time to open/close the lids.

People really love the 50" single lid though. It's one of our best sellers!

Is it correct that the 54" is the same weight dual or single lid? Or a typo? Lid is wider on the single but there is also one less cylinder, less mounts, etc.
