I've pretty much guaranteed we won't have any accumulation of frozen precipitation for the rest of the season. Got a set of 4 link ladders from TireChain.com in yesterday & put them on the 3038e today. No modifications were needed, they seemed to fit pretty good. Probably don't need the tensioners I ordered with the chains, but put them on anyway. It was in the 60's & all the last snowfall is pretty much gone (makes putting chains on much less an ordeal than 10 degrees & a high wind).

Those chains look to fit quite well for you. Noticed that there is a twist near the end of the left tire chain.
Not that it really makes any difference in performance, but you may want to straighten it out next time they are off or before putting them back on.
I circled where one can see the twist.. just needs the end folded back between the cross chains at that point.

Your tensioners are at the cross chains. I put mine in between cross chains. Which is correct or better?

I am certainly leaning to a small dump. Maybe a 1 ton because I could use the truck for hauling firewood. Truck would have to be 4x4 and possibly might need chains. Some of those roads are pretty steep. I have been doing some research on ice control and sprayers. Havent figured anything out yet. It would seem calcium chloride would offer the best control on ice. It was 3*f this morning, but that is rare. Winter temps in the teens are not uncommon. I still have to figure out would you spray the roads before a snow, or would you wait to spray as you are plowing or after plowing???. I also dont know how to price this service since I havent ever paid to have it done or done any of it myself. Doing my driveway dont count. I would probably just make my own spray rig using totes and gravity feed a spray bar, This would be a lot cheaper than the 200gal factory spray rigs. I got a lot of figureing out to do before next winter, and I still havent decided if I even want to do it. I guess it just depends on how much it will cost to get setup.

I have a F350 dump truck to sell you, it's 4x4 with a 460 V8, it was previously a plow truck, it's got a plow bracket up front and a hydraulic controller in the cab for a salt spreader. I will be done with it this spring/summer.

Well here in the great northeast it's 48 degrees today and raining cats&dogs out. It's been another UN-predictable winter, so far we have only received a few 2" to 5" snow storms, not complaining mind you just weird weather.

That looks like a real nice snowblower! You'll have to report back after your first big snow. I'm not familiar with your backhoe mounting system, but I was a little nervous the first time I went to reinstall my hoe, and for the first few months I went out of my way to minimize taking it on and off. Turns out it is pretty easy, and these days I don't even think about it. I bet you will get real fast at doing yours.

I finally had a chance to try out the new snow blower . The only issue I had was a shear bolt that rattled loose so I put on a nylon insert nut and problem solved . Seems to throw a pretty fair distance . Way faster than the bike with a 5 foot plow , that's for sure !

He will need to disassemble the chain to untwist it.

Only will need to disconnect the end links (connection) and loop the end back between the second cross chain. Nothing complicated, just how they sometimes get moved around when off.
