Finding point of failure - diverter valve or FEL control valve

There is no switching the diverter as far as I know, it happens automagically.

That is not a typical diverter valve that is used for switching between two hydraulic circuits.

Does it say "Flow Control" on it?

I believe it says "Flow-Divider Valve".

That is what I was thinking. I'm thinking that might be a adjustable priority valve. If so one will go to steering and the other should feed the fel and everything after that thru the PB port. I don't understand the red X between the loader valve in and out lines in the drawing..

I think it is a circuit symbol, but don't know why the FEL valve is ahead of the priorty/flow divider valve?

ljPlum,
Here is simple way to hook up a pressure gauge for checking out your system.

Ok, I got my pressure gauge hooked up, and I've learned a few things. First of all, I was under the assumption this tractor was a common sump, so I was checking the transmission for fluid level, which was fine. The hydraulic fluid, on the other hand, was probably over a gallon low. I went ahead and did a flush. Drained it, filled it up again, ran the hydraulics, drained it again, and filled it up. Once I got it primed, the 3 point started working just fine.

So where I'm at right now, is that the 3 pt and PS work, the FEL does not.

I got a gauge as recommended, and am including a picture of my setup. I have it hooked up on the pressure side of the FEL.

Under no load it is at 0psi. When I try to lift the loader it is around 500psi, but it does not lift. When I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left it shoots up to around 1500psi.

One of the lift cylinder pistons may have come off of the rod.

What is the pressure when the bucket is curled up and down?

It's about 500psi on the bucket too. The bucket is not working great though. It's slow and doesn't stay in the up position.

Where is fel valve getting the feed from?
