God forbid you ask questions.I tried to do the same and had both of my posts deleted without cause.

Your post was removed because it quoted another post that was removed that was a reply to another post that was removed.... to the tune of too many posts had to be removed from too many people to send everyone an explanation as to why their posts were removed.....

Oh heck....

Thread will be closed if the discussion doesn't remain civil.

I looked at Deere, Kubota , NH and Ls when I bought mine. I liked the LS but the dealer was a green price for them and he had a bad rep of changing brands every couple years so he was out. I bought a Kubota and I am happy. Now for the LS brand. A localstore here took over the dealership last summer and they are excellant for standing behind what they sell. Had they been selling them at the time I probably would own one. When I saw them on there lot I almost fell over when I saw the price. Fore less than 3000.00 more I could have had a bigger trac with cab and all the goodies I paid extra for.
Now the bad a friend bought one in Dec and he has one thing after another go wrong with it, but this dealer picks it up and returns it at no charge. He lives about 40 miles from the dealer. He has ad a electrical failure where everything went dead, Bad wiper motor, and the latest was his cab started leaking in the rain. Now as for parts the dealer rep sucks big time. It puts the dealer in a bad spot because it is his rep on the line and the factory rep does not seem to care. It is in the shop again for the top which was the fasteners holding it on were overtightened at the factory causing 4 inch long cracks on each side of them. The dealer is waiting on parts that were ordered 2 weeks ago. The dealship found the electrical problem to be paint under the ground cable. The dealer told me they have sold over a 100 tractors since last summer.
Even knowing of the problems that my friend has had I would still buy one if I was looking for another tractor

Hmmm, sounds like my issues with my TC tractors, not good..
Those two tractor's caused me enough down time, money and grief to stay far away from anything blue in my future.. my plan was to use them to make money with, bush hogging, snow removal, fixing driveway's etc, I lost my tail on that venture.. I have trouble with a NH Tractor, a Chevy truck and the next guy loves both of them, that's what makes the world go round..

A good dealer can wash away alot of negativity about a brand. As the small dealers are pushed out of the way the take it or leave it pricing will increase.

I'm not a betting man but I would put money on 90% of our unpleasantry problems occur when folks log into Unfriendly Politics, get all fired up, come out with their hair on fire and then click on this thread.
Attitudes are very different...

maybe the site ought to have an automatic timeout for half an hour after someone leaves FP...

Mossroad, thanks as always.

Disagreement is good; we learn things that way. Personal attacks or snarky comments have zero place here.

LS is part of LG, which makes probably half the appliances in my home, mostly rebranded. Really quite remarkable what these South Korean conglomerates have accomplished, using Japanese and American QC techniques. Parts and dealership concerns will always be there. Rather remarkable also that Kubota owns a full half of the market under 100hp. Frankly I'm glad we have so many choices.

Sounds like it is hard to go wrong with a tractor brand these days. As for myself, after looking around a bit and doing my homework, I'll be going green next week.

I have never heard it mentioned. I wonder how and if Trumps attempt at protectionist policies will affect tractor owners or dealers. Could this mean a changed playing field, where some manufacturers may pull out of the states?
