BX80 Series Announced!

When someone gets a chance to look under the tractor it will be very interesting to hear if they changed the tranny cooling fan. For a really well designed machine, that was a disaster.

I looked at a new BX2680/FEL at my dealer this morning. New bells and whistles, e.g., mount/dismount FEL and MMM without leaving seat but significant price increase.
I wonder how much abuse the QA mechanisms are around the bucket. I am pretty hard on my bucket and those levers look bendable.

Last I checked (about a month ago) still had more than a handful of BX70's and BX25Ds. I would absolutely love the QA for both the FEL and BH but my BX is only 3 1/2 years old and I am averaging 100hr/yr. Gonna be hard to swing it but maybe this summer I will wax mine and put it on the market. I have done a lot of Mods that I don't really want to repeat though.

Yup. I'm in the same boat. I have quite a few accessories on my 2009 BX25, and anyway it's a good tractor so why bother getting a new one with basically the same capacities?

I ordered a bx2680 with Fel quick disconnect, drive over mmm, and skid steer forks. I currently have a 2 yr old 2670. As I get older I want to make it easier to take off the mower when I want to. I thought now is the time. This is my first purchase from Brady at Barlow's. So it will be a couple of weeks before delivery. Looking forward to new machines, this will be my wife's mower, I use the zd326.

I bet if you got your tractor delivered you are too busy playing, with your new machine.

Has anyone else going to get one? I need to stop by and get prices. My thoughts were to add two remotes rear, and one up front. What should that raise the bottom line?

Kubotas site does not have a build option. On orange tractor forum there is some chatter, but only a lurker there.

Haven't received it yet, not in a hurry, just purchasing while the better half is in agreement. I believe the extra front remote was around 650.00 (don't quote me on this, but I think that was the cost). Didn't add it since I'm not sure what I would use the extra remote on the front (no grapple or 4 in 1 bucket for me). This will be my wife's mower, I use our zero turn, mow about 9 acres a week (ours, 98 year old neighbor, and in laws). So she is a big help just helping mow our grass. I just wanted the ease of removing and installing implements as the years add up. No problem now but several years from now who knows.

I have the new drive over on my BX2670. It is the cats meow. If putting it on or taking it off on concrete or asphalt, you will likely need a rubber mat under the deck to keep it from sliding. I use an old truck bed mat.
I take the ramps off the deck after it is on the tractor. It stops any chafing of the ramps on the deck surface, minimizes wear on the painted deck and ramps, stops the VERY MINIMAL rattling over bumpy surfaces, and makes it much easier to clean grass clippings from the deck.
For winter, I even pulled the lift carriage for the deck off completely. A few pins, and 5 minutes, its on and ready. Deck will go on in 5, as well.
I was hopeful this 70-Series was my last tractor, and considered the drive-over deck for when I'm older. I always used to install/take off my MMM with the loader on to lift the tractor. After using the drive over, the pittance of a difference JD brags about means squat. Now, after seeing the 80-Series loader QD and hydro QD, I may eat my words.

Received my BX2680 from Barlows the other day. So far everything is good. Took off the FEL from the front seat, except for the lines, didn't press the right release button, but I know that now. If it was for the FEL with the skid steer option and the drive over mower, my bx2670 would be good. Just looking at making it easier for myself later on. Took it off the truck, then 20 minutes later wife was mowing with it. Mows great. But I like my zero turn better.

I'm hoping I can retro the loader on my BX2670 to an 80-Series setup. I'm betting the mount locations are the same on the 70's and 80's, but the loader mounts and the respective loaded arm portions are probably the only difference. The lever-style hydraulic coupler, well that is an easy switch. I imagine the parts are big bucks, but probably cheaper than trading my 50 hour BX2670. Course, what do low hours mean to people like me and JohnThomas? Seems we keep Kubota in business. ;)
