I don't see their ads much, and I've never went there to buy anything because of their ads. I never really thought the ads were comparing the prices to their standard prices, but rather to the prices of competitive products.

I agree that just saying "Quality" doesn't necessarily mean "Good Quality"

I can 100% guarantee that every poster here that is bashing HF and or defending this lawsuit, or just plane stupid enough to think that HF is doing anything more than selling half way good tools at cheap prices is doing so on an Asian designed, manufactured, assembled, and distributed computer, phone or tablet.

I don't buy a lot at Harbor Freight but I did buy their cheap cement mixer and have so far mixed 17 yards of concrete... well worth the price I paid...

Also found their utility chain and cheaper 4-wheel dollies to be very good values...

Plus... sometimes I only need a cheap tarp for a couple of weeks or just long enough for the rain to stop.

truth in advertising is not a bad thing. Governments traditionally take a role in protecting citizens from what is perceived as the true abuses of the market place. The more one touts incredible deals, 90 percent off, all that circus barker kind of salesmanship, the more one should disbelieve that advertised price. And really, who believes the normal HF price on anything?

Government enhanced gullibility. Yeah, that's really good.

Totally agree! It is a feel good thing that politicians put in place to say they are doing something but there is no real value except to lawyers.
