Suppose to wifi over wan...no wires to mobley

Works great. Can do USB to micro USB at Mobley. The Mobley port is covered with a label/sticker to peel off. Sometimes hard to see. I believe earlier in thread you'll find the configuration, very straightforward and as far as I read not the problems reported by the $80 Asus router.

I also have the ar300 but settings are the same:

A $26 router will be exactly that, I wouldn't expect much out of it.
I disagree. Does the job perfectly for my 15+ devices for a couple months now.

Been meaning to play with open vpn... Just no time!

My network...is really small. Security cameras and printer. Don't need expensive routers.

Mine came in today. Plugged into truck outside and connected my phone via wifi. Had 10.16 down and 1.36 up. Got it rigged up in my computer room in the house and only getting 4+ down and .43 up.

Edit: Figured out where to set the no time out.

Also if you have any ideas on why my PC won't connect I'm all ears.

Does your PC have wifi? Some desktops do not. If it does, what is the situation that you are experiencing? Can the PC see the Mobley? Is it prompting you for the wifi password but failing to establish the connection? Is it seeming to connect but not getting any Internet access? Any error messages?

As for the speeds, try putting the Mobley closer to a window and/or higher up in the room. Avoid any metal objects nearby and preferrably have it in an exterior room, not one with no outside walls.

My PC is using a USB wifi adapter because the wired ports on my Centrylink modem died. It sees the Mobley and prompts for the password then fails to connect. So far I have connected my phone, wife's notebook, and the TV without issues. I may have to order a router and use that to get at the PC. At least I could connect back to the network by cable with a router since it's in the same area.

I have the mobley sitting in the window sill and tried it higher up but no real change. Speed test on wife's notebook came in a 5+ down and .85 up so about 4 times faster than our DSL. I can live with that. Tried a trailer on the TV through Amazon and it loaded in half the time or less than usual.

That's a tough one to troubleshoot then, at least as far as I know. I have a laptop in the family that acts like that and I haven't figured out why. Perhaps someone else here can offer good thoughts on troubleshooting. My suggestion would be to remove the wifi adapter and associated drivers from Windows and attempt to re-install fresh. It's apparent it is not the Mobley since other things can connect.

I went ahead and ordered that router from an ebay seller in Miami. Hopefully it will come fast so I can work through my PC connection.

Mobley was shutting off fast in my truck when I turned the truck off. Hasn't shut off at all in the house. I have it connected to a notebook power supply that has 15 VDC out so maybe it thinks the vehicle is running. I did also find where to tell it not to turn off when the vehicle was turned off. I am assuming it sensed whether or not the vehicle was running by voltage input.
