In a way they do have party,jave pictures of fawns raiding Mrs, flower garden next to house and snooping around under the deck,if you chase them they run to back side of the house than wait sneak back,kinda of game for them.:confused2:

I got a bit damp when we were loading sheep for market this morning and had to change jeans before I was allowed to sit down to eat. Hey Don, just realized that denim is made from cotton, so they must be your plant based pants ?

Breakfast was partially courtesy of the cool wet weather - freshly picked field mushroom[Agaricus campestris], cooked to perfection by my wife, served up on toast with baked beans alongside :licking:


MFW, with trees so close to buildings, bet you are real pleased you got to decide which way they should fall, instead of tempting fate with every storm :thumbsup:

68 going to 89. Rain may move in tonight (please).

Bees are starting to take over some of the hummingbird feeders. Always makes refilling them tricky going. Interestingly, I have seen zero hornets or yellow jackets all summer. Not that I am complaining, but do kinda miss seeing a few around. Certainly no shortage of wasps or bumble bees, and have seen a good number of honey bees.

Spent the better part of the day in the garden and shed again.

Don was the fire issue the hay bales?

Those burning round hay bales were 1/2 mile away from where the fire started and on someone else's property. The fire was started by hay making machinery. We have been under a burn ban for several weeks, it's getting brown in the county.

Good morning! A cool 71˚ after lots of clouds yesterday evening and scattered rain in the area but not here. After the fire I had 15 people waiting at home to play water volleyball. We went with 3 teams. It was a full day yesterday.

Today is the annual capturing Whipper to get her to the Vet for her yearly immunizations. She knows and the games begin at sunrise. All year long she come and lets me pet her but today she will sense her pending Vet's visit and I'll have to trick her. My wife messed up the other day and showed Whipper the Vet's immunization reminder.

Good morning all. 66 now going to 86 and 50/50 on t storms. Got up yesterday and after about 2 hr went to sleep in my chair so went back to bed and got up at 10. Have not been that tired in a long time. Had to make dump run and go to the PO. Got started on the green beans after lunch and only got 21 qt done. Will have to hit them today. Have a great day. Our cats do the same thing, if I think it, they know it, must give off a pheromone or something. Don't say flea medicine, the three of them disappear.
Cloudy, humid and mid 80's before very heavy rain is predicted for 2-3 days. We have had three beautiful days though.

Interesting observation. My wife commented last night about the increase in wasps here. She has never been stung, these past two weeks - twice. They seem to hang around the pool a lot. And I am agreeing with her.
