In my original post I left out one item. The lower wattage ones usually have a smaller induction ring. Which can cause uneven temperatures on a large frying pan or other large bottom pan.
We have a NuWave 1800 for outdoor cooking.

I was wondering about the size, didnt see it listed.

Why not? Works like a stove. But finding a large enough pot for canning that works on Induction may be a problem. Then if you found one it would be expensive.

Just get an electric canning pot. Then you can can on the porch and not get the house all hot on days like today.

I do no think canning requires the same even heat that a frying pan needs. Lower wattage may take a little long to get to required temperature.

My solution to your problem just cost me. I just order one after my wife saw it. We have a glass top stove so this will come in handy and keep the house cool when we can. We will also be able to cook 20 pounds of potatoes for the VFD fish fry potato salad in just one pot out side on the patio. I'll give you a review in about a week or so.

It was 67 at 5 pm! Wow, talk about nice, still cloudy but the rain finally stopped.
I was at Home Depot today, they had 4-5 zero turns left, two brands similar in size were marked down to around $2800, not that big a markdown, one was there since last August. I offered them $300 below that, cash and carry. No says the man, we can't go any less, it will be there another year for my part. It would suit me fine, but if I'm going to pay for a good mower, I'll go get one.

Interesting discussion about the induction cookers, thanks guys. As for the larger, like canner, I remember reading that total weight can be a problem due to water weight.
