If anyone can make the best of a terrible situation my bet is on Texans... and I think this is what drives national media crazy...

If the Feds come through it will be shown as favoritism... if the Feds don't or there are problems it will make headlines...

If you live where I do the only redeeming part of the Texas is Austin... pure and simple and that is how sad it is... I have asked if those that say this have had a bad experience and not a one has ever been to Texas.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Texans for the strength needed to get through...

Know it is stretch but I would love to see positive stories of neighbor helping neighbor make national news and coordinated local, state and federal response working together...

My sister-in-laws parent's in-law, who have never had water in their house are being rescued by my nephew with his jet ski. They are in their 80's and have two feet of water in their house.

Houston's mayor is telling everyone to only call 911 if you life is in danger. Pictures of Houston show an overwhelming response of private citizens using their boats to do rescues. I even saw the boats going around a John Deere tractor stalled in the middle of the road with water to it's seat.

Now now HS. I would have rabbit ears but they don't work this far out. I had to go with a 15' antenna 30' in the air. My parents pay the $40 a month for more channels. They don't get anymore useful information than I get.

I guess I have to spell it out for you ABC, NBC, and CBS. Now you know when someone refers to mainstream media what they mean. Those that operate with public licenses, on public airwaves.
