With construction happening in China ( along with many other items ) one may start to wonder how Americans will be able to afford Chinese Products?

And those people who thought that I was serious that Ruskies will power the subs by human power need to adjust their "seroius" filter few notches down. It was obvious joke.
Or maybe crack a science book on Energy reality.
It would have to have been taken as a joke to be taken seriously by someone that recognizes your technical depth.

It had overnight over ocean flights. Construction was actually quite sophisticated.
As starters the concept may be viable in the private sport activities.

Youæ±*e right, it was quite a feat, but not practically applicable in either payload or cost in the near future.

And its a mistake, Americans will reject buying cars made in China, I wouldn't buy a car made in Mexico. I read the place of manufacturing and so must millions of others.

I applaud your discipline, however, Americans have already shown that they are willing to buy cars made in Mexico (20% of the U.S. car market) and they are practically addicted to consumer goods made in China. I don't see why the American public will reject cars made in China.

Americans bought Japanese and German cars after WWII... it just took a while. The same thing will happen with Chinese cars.

Wow, your logic is mind-boggling. I correctly interpreted his original statement. I didn't guess, I read what he wrote. It's not my fault you didn't interpret his original statement correctly.

Like a blind hog you found an acorn by accidentally correctly guessing what HS intended.

One of man's great developments was the written language. HS utilized this marvelous skill to express his opinion on this particular subject, and I took advantage of this same skill to read his opinion. Subsequently, he, myself, and others have exchanged additional written expressions of our opinions, in a fairly straightforward and efficient manner. I find this direct form of communication quite useful. I don't know why this bothers you.

In the old days the Greeks and Romans used galeras powered by small sail and many oares. One day the captain told the oarsmen. I have two news for you one good and one bad. Which one you want hear first. The good one? Ok. We will serve big portions of hearty chicken soup, fried chicken, mashed, potatoes and every men will get glass of wine and shot of rum. All the men nodded in agreement. Then the bad one. My girlfriend wants to waterski after the lunch.

It was pretty funny though, reading the comments treating it as serious comment.

It was for sure the boomers and not the greatest generation that started buying those cars...I remember it being controversial in some families...

There have been some inroads made in electric aircraft, so far mostly in the training area. They lend themselves quite well in this application as they are usually in pattern work or areas close to the airport and rarely last more than an hour. Quieter too, which means instructors don't have to shout "Watch your airspeed!" quite as loudly.
Another area that is quite impressive is motorcycles, the Isle of Man TT has had an event for electric bikes for several years now, and some of the results are pretty impressive. If I recall, Norman Reedus rode an electric bike on a segment of his show last season.
