I think you are going to be especially glad that you got an hydraulic top link to go with the tractor and implements. I found that using the hydraulic top link does away with about 95% of the times where I have to get off the tractor and adjust teeth up and down or other things like that when using the box blade. So much so that I do not think I would ever want to use a box blade without the hydraulic top link.

I have also found a zillion other cases where it turned out very handy to use the hyd top link rather than manually cranking the ordinary screw type , etc. Even with bush hogs it is awfully nice, especially during hook-up. I just picked up a large used flail mower and am anxious to try it out. I'm betting the hyd toplink works wonders with adjusting the flail mower too.

I already am glad I got it. It really makes grading with the BB so nice and easy by scrapping material exactly from where you want and spreading it smoothly where you need it. It is a 100 times better than without it.

A SCV valve?? Not sure I understand what keeps the rear remote valve in operation? You have to hold the lever or "strap" it into pressure position? Thanks for your patience!!!!

I have the same question. Also, most Kubota rear remotes are only rated at 8 - 8.5 gpm. Is that sufficient to power the 10 (or 15) gpm Lane Shark hyd. motor?

Look above I already answered this. Where did you get your info on remote flow rate? My tractor has 16.2 gpm and runs the cutter with a 15 gpm motor great.

I believe he's quoting the flow rate for a hydraulic quick coupler such as those on the rear of your tractor? 1/2" quick couplers normally used have a flow rate of 12gpm. Not sure what your tractor uses. Since your source is "T'd" into the system bypassing the quick couplers, you would be limited by the couplers at the front where you are connecting the cutter.

Mine is connected to a rear coupler and also has a set by the FEL disconnect and on the front of loader and the cutter runs great even though the fluid goes through 5 Quick couples.

Sorry, I thought yours was plumbed into the circuit at the rear of the tractor.

That's cool!!!! If your couplers have a 12gpm rating you probably wouldn't notice any deficiency. Unless you increased your flow. Then you might. But that doesn't matter if it works for you!!!

My only concerns with a front mounted cutter on a tired machine would be flats. Friend of mine has one on the front of a CTL. It's a beast!!!

Well this cutter is a trail and property maintainer and not for clearing land, like a SS mounted cutter/mulcher is. The manufacturer makes that pretty clear. The vast majority of work I do with it will be with it set at 90 degrees and trimming tree and brush limbs that overhang roads and trails. Everything I have cut thus far is not that big and really doesn't have sharp edges like larger brush cut near ground level does.

One another note, I bought and installed my first "add on" today before I left for work. A steering wheel spin knob! It became evident already that this is needed while mowing and doing lots of manuvering. 13.7 perfect hours thus far and now I will be away for the next 4 week at work. The dealer will be picking it up later this week to install the 3rd function kit and send it back with my grapple.

I wish, actually it is black, but it is the "deluxe" version from Tractor Supply.

So to clarify (for my interests in problems with"one track mind" open center hydraulics) you have found that with your configuration the Shark cutter

a) continues to cut while you raise or curl the loader with positive force

OR

b) the cutter no longer runs under power but coasts while raising the loader or curling (without suddenly stopping the cutter) ?
