So initial experience is that moving the loader frame (curl or lift) does cut off flow to the cutter BUT it is not "sudden on and sudden off" right ? Still trying to figure out why my own (also ran from a remote) did do the sudden on and sudden off. Possibly the kind of control valve being used on the remotes ??
In an open center hydraulic system, the first valve in the power beyond loop gets priority & all the fluid when actuated. Everything downstream gets starved. All open center hydraulic systems will operate this way unless you put in a flow divider (often there already to draw off flow for steering) run multiple pumps or have a closed center system (exist on big tractors & construction machines, but not on CUTs or medium tractors.

I run a hydraulic PHD on my L4060. Actuating the loader will severely slow or stop the auger. Not a big deal with my slow speed setup.

If you put in a 1 way valve from the outflow of the motor to the input it would let the motor free wheel by sucking fluid from the tank line when flow from the pump stops. It wouldn't get power when flow dropped, but would keep spinning & not come to a halt.

I need to put a double crossover relief on my PHD for similar reasons. Mine will be set to a relief of 2,500psi in both directions as it's reversable. A rotary cutter only turns 1 way so no need to have anything higher than the spring needed to seat the valve.

I think most of the hydraulic rotary cutters have the blades sharp on both sides and can run either direction.

Mine does and has a built in cushion valve:

Once the fluid is good and hot it may slow down the flow to the cutter some but it doesn't stop it at all. I have been cutting limbs while raising and lowering the boom without issue.

Had lots of fun on the pretty day today.

First made sure the forks would lift my RZR.

I graded the neighbors drive while I was hooked on the box blade moving it. Sorry no pictures but man that heavy 7' blade with the hydraulic top link works awesome on the gravel drives. The more I use the M7060 the more I like it. I think I have finally figured out all the creature comforts and am really enjoying them. Inside the cab is MUCH quieter than I expected. It was really nice listening to the Saints game while I was bushhogging and answering the phone when it rang over the stereo speakers and talking to my wife without touching my phone, there is a mic on the stereo.

I did get a chance to take a family photo at days end.

I think you are going to be especially glad that you got an hydraulic top link to go with the tractor and implements. I found that using the hydraulic top link does away with about 95% of the times where I have to get off the tractor and adjust teeth up and down or other things like that when using the box blade. So much so that I do not think I would ever want to use a box blade without the hydraulic top link.

I have also found a zillion other cases where it turned out very handy to use the hyd top link rather than manually cranking the ordinary screw type , etc. Even with bush hogs it is awfully nice, especially during hook-up. I just picked up a large used flail mower and am anxious to try it out. I'm betting the hyd toplink works wonders with adjusting the flail mower too.
