In NH if the trailer is over 3000# it needs a inspection sticker

The problem is not in the material but the manufacturing. Many of the items you buy are made in China. While China has laws to ensure quality and the integrity of products, they are never enforced. Recently an inventor that I do design for marketed a product that would be exposed to sunshine. I specified UV resistant material and urged him to use a US manufacturer. He opted for China because of cost of 20% of US quotes. Now his product is failing and he is out of business. The parts looked good but after several months turned yellow and became as brittle as a potato chip.
I wouldn稚 put that one on China. Their manufacturing plant will produce product to any specification on the blueprint, to any quality level in the contract.

Inventors rarely make good businessmen, and, in my experience, have little interest in, or knowledge of the product development process.

Put it plainly, there is more to bringing a product to market than an idea and a manufacturing plant.

Your client was destined to fail because he didn稚 do his homework.

First off I love my CK30 it is exactly the correct tractor for me and my uses. I have a loader and a set of forks not the clamp ons a real set. My issue with Kioti is poor, worse then poor dealers. Fast to sell but when repairs are needed they figure that weeks and possibly months instead of days is acceptable. My fuel tank began to leak and without a suitable garage and an array of tools removing the fuel tank myself is not practicable. I called the dealer and told they would be right on it. And they were as far as picking up the tractor and telling me what I already knew after 3 days. $1300 a ridiculous extreme amount that they knew I would be forced to accept. I was told they needed to order the tank and it would be in about 2 to 3 days. They would call and keep me informed. No call after 2 weeks, I called them "we did not know the warehouse was closed for a week" "we will call you in a day or so" Still No call.
When I get my tractor back I will use it until something else breaks or wears out then purchase another brand, won't be John Deere. I bought the Kioti because the John Deere dealer is also poor and very slow. I ask this question< Why are tractor dealers so slow and overly expensive not to mention never informing customers that repairs will take months. Any decent dealers around North Central Maryland or South central Pennsylvania?
Sorry for venting but I am getting more angry everyday.
$1300 sounds high for a gas tank, but my local Ford dealer quoted $1300-1800 for the steel tank for my v10 F450.

That痴 just for the tank, with no labor.

I understand the trailer issues in Canada, but it is not even close to the same in most of the US.
My 20ft. 14K low deck equipment trailer costs me $20 per year for registration. Liability/property damage insurance coverage automatically extends from the towing vehicle. I bought a 5 year trailer registration for $100, and that is renewable in minimum 1 year increments. At each renewal, up to ten more years is available ($200 for 10 years). Even though my trailer is new, I do not have any trailer loss insurance coverage.
It should be noted that I do not use my trailer for hire.
No trailer safety inspection is required.
Just be aware that in some states that if you have a failure that causes the trailer to be detached from the tow vehicle your vehicle insurance no longer covers the trailer or any damage that results.

Such a "failure" would have to mean that the trailer coupler, or the hitch itself, together with the safety chains would have to fail.
Many scenarios are POSSIBLE.
Safest solution would be to never tow a trailer!

If you're quoting someone could you include that part? No idea what the context is, or why your question. The thread is really going sideways (and I regret that I've helped).

Glad you got your tractor back. Well what did it turn out to be. And what do you think caused it

The final cost was $1187.75 they washed and lubed everything and that included picking it up and bringing it back. I have nor received an itemized bill so the actual price for the tank is still an unknown. It appears that the entire dash needed to be removed to access the tank. So I guess labor was a sizable chunk of the bill. They told me the tank was cracked.
