Is that 2" a standard SA cylinder with breather....or is it a display mentioned type like an actual plow cylinder?
Yes that is a plow cylinder. But for lift.
Get the 1.5x10 or 1.5 x 12 and design around that.
A non-plow SA cylinder is typically like a DA cylinder, with a breather vent on the rod side. Meaning the rod side stays dry.
A plow cylinder is more of a displacement type. Meaning that there is no Piston at all. So no Piston seals. Just the gland and packing. Better for this application because no moisture worries, or leaking Piston seals blowing out a breather and dumping oil on the ground.
Again, stop trying to reinvent the wheel. 1.5x10 or 1.5x12 plow cylinders are tried and true.
yes. Its not a big expence. I am almost done with the design. I am working the fine details of cylinders mounts. Btw, is 10gauge good enough for the push plate? like 1/8" thickness?
