Quirky and OCD tendencies..... Anyone else have them?

There are two switches in the same box in our kitchen that are each part of a 3 way circuit. If they get out of sync my wife will go out of her way to sync them up again.

Some 3 way switches in the basement are on a circuit with dial style dimmers. Those switches always have to be down when lights are off or she'll walk back to the far end, turn the light off, then back in the dark.

I used to avoid stepping on tile/concrete joints. Once my feet got bigger that tendency went away but I still think about it sometimes.

i do like 80% of everything mentioned here. the money is a huge pet peeve, it takes 3 times longer if its not organized to get it out, from larger to smaller etc...

I think the money thing is more of a common sense thing than OCD. I have always had smalls bills in the front and larger ones in the back. Now if you arrange your credit cards based on credit limit then you have a whole other problem.

The one that's not even in all the way would really set me off. If I were a guest in your house I'd probably tighten it when you weren't looking.

Took that pic from my chair, didnt notice one loose until i took the pic. Until this thread, i had never heard of people wanting the screw slots verticle. Now, i will think about that every time i look at a cover. I will probably have to carry my little pocket screwdriver with me now.

A lot of things mentioned here are just common sense; having paper money all in the same orientation and by value just makes it easier to find what you need, that is why the cash registers are the same way. Cans and pantry items grouped together and visible makes it easy to see what you need when shopping. It's just good filing practice, as anyone who's had the privilege of experiencing someones "own filing system" can appreciate.
Latest hipster trend in Portlandia is shelving books spine in so only blank pages show. This is just idiotic, as everyone knows that books must be arranged alphabetically by author, then title, unless they are part of a numbered series, where they are filed numerically.

In my wallet, i normally keep money in denomination order, but not always facing the same way, usually not enough to worry about. When counting it, always put in order.

Another tread reminded me of one, dates should be posted as yyyymmdd. Then things are in order.

I date all my digital pictures this way ( using an automated script), then i add state abbreviation_location. Makes for easier searching of thousands of pictures.
