Local guy was hit and killed by a car, as he was moving livestock across a road.
So if you drive a small red car, and a bull charges it, is the rancher responsible for the damage?
I'd be surprised if bulls are part of the herd, normally.
Bucee's is a tourist destination for those of us north of one. Every time we go to Ft Worth, we stop in. Who'd ever have thought a gas station/convenience store could be so big!
They've been building one in our county, on US287, for awhile now. Pretty much guaranteed to put a hurting on existing businesses.
Anyway, black cows in the road have caused a few deaths locally over the years. We nearly hit one one night, and found an open gate down the road. We herded the escapee back in to the pasture and called the sheriff's office to tell them that any fingerprints were due to putting the cow back, not rustling...just in case.
You had to go find one of kids toys didn't you !

Why didnt i think of that, lol
Yesterday i ran across some old farm toys and animals i had growing up, from late 60s. And the metal barn. Some newer stuff to.View attachment 536142View attachment 536143View attachment 536144
When we first move down from Ak, in '82, there were still two working dairies in the immediate area. Corporate America has taken care of that about thirty year ago. Man, do I enjoy that which, I guess, I shall never have again - fresh buttermilk.
My older brothers would just pick me up and put me on a bull's back. Having been with the cows all summer they were tired and worn out and lagged behind the cows. They would jtust turn their head and look at what was on their back but my 50-60 lbs wasn't worth getting rid of so I rode them home. Good memories!
