The Wife is dragging me out to some fancy Chinese interpretive dance thing tonight. Tickets were ridiculously expensive, so I guess I have to go. I shouldn't complain, though. I've been dragging her for years to concerts like Rush and Dream Theater, and she goes along like a trooper.

Good morning. Weather maps show high pressure hovering over us today to keep the rain at bay. May only last 1 day so I better get on and make the most of it.

Bups, the move must be a blow for many of those working at Weatherby, although good to hear the company is still thriving. When I was young I only saw their "Weatherby Magnum" big game rifles in print. Nowadays the Vanguard range of rifles are available here too at very modest prices. IIRC the barrels and possibly the action are currently made for them in Japan by Howa and are well regarded.

I remember many years ago the NRA here in the US had a deal with some bank in Colorado, I think, where you sent them the cost of a new Weatherby MkIV rifle, they send you the rifle, invest the money, reap the interest, then return the principle after a certain length of time. You basically got the rifle free for letting them use the money, and the NRA got a cut of the interest. I always regretted not doing that. It was a sweet deal. Very nice rifles.

Yes, Sir ... '14 Kia Soul. My everyday driver. Wife has a '12 Sorento. Between the two of us, we've had 5 of their vehicles over the years. They seem to make a decent car.

PJ, Shen Yun is amazing to say the least. We went a couple of years ago when it was performed in Houston. Didn’t have a chance to see their new production back in December.

I’m betting that you will be impressed so ....... we expect a full report tomorrow.

Good morning everyone.

A calm 6F this AM with hazy sunshine. It is predicted to reach ~30F today. Starting cup #2 of the coffee. A decent day to manage the firewood.

2 Ravens have been showing up at the feeders the past few days. I suspect they are trying to figure out how to get at and steal the suet.:wink: There must not be a lot of roadkill and/or Winter-kill food sources available presently.

I hope that everyone with the "Thing" and "Crud" are recovering or better recovered. The way this current flu virus morphs into pneumonia is really scary.

that's a good idea, but it's likely three hours away by rv, and I've never been to Raleigh, other than the airport.
RV dealers had one of their biggest, if not the biggest, years last year. They are all tired, service depts. backed up, and my timing with local guys
right before a show wasn't good. They want to sell their new ones, not my used one. So the ad went into rvt.com last night. Only negative is travel trailer hogs up my parking lot.
