4570 Do you pour from 5 gal bucket with the hole up or down. Down will suck in air and cause the paint splatter. up the paint will run out but across the top if not careful.

I pour the metal cans of paint thinner and quart oil bottles with the hole on the top side. I pour the 5 gallon cans hole down. I usually lay the bucket on it’s side with the paint tray under it and compress the bucket with my knee. I could see how pouring it spout up could work too though.

l learned this trying to pour Hydraulic fluid into the off set fill hole of John Deere tractor. pointing at the roll over bar bolting location under the cross bar holding the seat. Some where with John Deere Management there must be one that uses a tractor.
