I recently purchased a 9mmTaurus Millennium G2 for CCW. It is the same size as my Glock 33 (.357Sig) but it is a bit thinner and lighter. The Glock is 25mm thick at the slide and the Taurus is 22mm. Not much but the difference in weight is noticeable. Both guns fit in the same holster (Mikes soft )although the Glock is a bit more snug. I actually cut the retaining strap off the Holster to facilitate a faster draw. It is snug enough to hold both guns in place in normal activity and I don't plan to do any acrobatics with it on so it works for me.
The Taurus came with 2 clips that hold 12 rounds each so I could have plenty of fire power if I carried both clips. It does have an external safety but it also has the trigger safety just like the Glock so it could be carried in the fire position if you wanted. It also has a SA/DA trigger so if you have a light firing pin strike, you can pull the trigger again to see if it will fire without having to work the slide. I actually like the features better than the Glock since it does have an external safety that you can engage if you like and it is well located for a fast shift to fire pulling it down to fire like any good safety should be. I think it is much easier to pull a safety down than to push it up as some pistols require.
The best thing about it is that if can be bought for less than $200 tax included.
