Thanks to rkidd for the MMM encouragement. I removed/reinstalled the MMM yesterday for practice and am getting better at understanding the gauge wheel settings. I even put it to work at mowing an acre of dried, leaf covered field. It worked really nice cutting at 2 inch winter height. Those low settings is what screwed up the removal/install. Bumping 86 years old however, I don't think I'll compete with a 60 year old whelp..

Hey Mike. That is great that you are that age and still running and enjoying tractors. I hope I am as fortunate as you to be in that good of shape and still running my Kubota!! I have been very happy with my mmm and it mows extremely well as you said. Good luck to you and enjoy.

Oldballs, did your dealer get your tractor straightened out?
The dealer is to pick it up this Monday. I think all will end well. Yesterday I added another quart of Super UDT2, which brought it up to the stick range. That took a whole gallon....before I ran it to mow an acre. I was beginning to think that I was adding HST fluid into the wrong hole.:confused2:

I'm up in Coudersport Pa at my buddies digging for a shed addition. I've done about all I can do, next is bring in an excavator for the rocks that are as big as my entire tractor!

I'm taking pictures while my buddy is driving the machine. I trust him, he items an excavation company... So he's not trying to learn on my machine. IMG_20180216_122809488.jpgIMG_20180216_120337566.jpgIMG_20180216_124254554_HDR.jpg

I had all the toys for my bx. But sold it all as a package because none of the attachments would be big enough for the new rig. A 60” tiller is barely gonna cover my tires but I don’t want to go any bigger

Understand. I took my plasma cutter to both ends of my 72in back blade that I bought used for a great price even though I knew it was gonna be like a tail wagging the dog. Now it performs so much better.

Had a rough morning getting off of a mountain on a solid sheet of ice this morning.IMG_20180218_083704949_HDR.jpgIMG_20180218_083728006_HDR.jpgIMG_20180218_083858378_HDR.jpgIMG_20180218_090233320_HDR.jpg

Larry, sorry to see the damage? Did the body/paint not get damaged? Seems like you were very lucky it just was the perfect height to only get the tail light.

Dang it!!!!!that could happen anywhere on ice...........even in the flats of Kansas. Oh well, it could have been worse. Better luck in coming days.

Cheers,
Mike

I was really lucky, just a $500 tail light housing, no bed side or tailgate damage. This Rebel has the LED lights, they aren't the typical $180 Ram taillight
