Ruger or Glock

I have been in the similar decision process as you between these 2 pistols, but just got an email from the NRA that discusses their test results of the Sig P365.

Is it okay if I ask for comments on your thread about it? ...9mm, 10+1 capacity...about a half ounce more weight than the LC9s, but slightly less length and height...a tenth of an inch wider.

To me the fact that you must pull a Glock's trigger before field stripping is a TOTAL non issue. If you didn't check the chamber of the firearm the instant you picked it up then you should not be handling firearms at all. Anyone that has a negligent discharge from pulling a Glocks trigger with the intent of field stripping it, is an idiot. And I would be happy to tell them that to their face. ALL firearms are loaded 100% of the time unless you have personally checked it right there and then. Anyone that would knowingly pull the trigger of a loaded firearm and not expect it to fire is an idiot.

I was always told to double check the chamber by pros, your eyes play tricks on you sometimes

That's the correct way , But not everybody does it that way

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Guns are not negligent, people are.

Sure it's okay. This thread has actually stayed on subject more than 90% do anyway.

Last night I sure got my mind changed on what I need to be carrying.

But IF I go back to looking at those two it will be the Glock.

We had a practice session for the church security team last night. Security team means a bunch of guys carrying concealed and just watching everything.

The guy leading the group retired from the military last year. Special Forces and has been training in the ME for a couple years.

Seriously, he had all us middle aged guys pointing fingers and screaming, "BANG, BANG," at the top of our lungs.

We rotated thru seven positions with one guy being the shooter. We stopped the shooter every time only loosing two or three every time. The drill was that the guy would be spotted pulling a pistol as he approached one of the doors.

Then the SF guy pretended to be the shooter. He killed all eight of us EVERY SINGLE TIME. Seriously, he bounced off the walls, was always moving, moved at a diagonal, and never moved straight toward anybody. He would be thru the foyer, up some steps and around a corner before we could get to cover or draw weapons. Then thru the hall and doors into the auditorium.

I think I may need more then six or seven rounds.
