Morning and best wishes to all;
Had an interesting long weekend, took a bus trip to Washington D.C. it was an interesting experience. First time I had been there since the 60's
other then to just drive thru or around. The trip heading south was nice watching the gradual greening up and the appearances of blossoms and blooms
was enjoyable. Then the sight seeing in DC was interesting and we had good weather for Friday and Saturday. But the traffic and number of people was
just simply unreal, no way I could live in that area. Then Sunday morning was a trip to Arlington the weather sure changed then rain about 11 windy and cooler,
then got headed north about 3 PM for the long trip home. Left all the greenery and flowers behind and headed for sleet and ice at home got to the parking lot around
2 AM and a quarter of an inch of ice to scrape before heading the pickup home.
Glad I didn't have to drive especially the last half of the trip down the traffic was ridiculous and the around the DC and Dulles area, what a nightmare of roads traffic
and people. We didn't get to see a lot that I would like to have, may have to repeat the trip again but I'm not sure how we will do the transportation, I was not impressed with the tour bus seating, not very comfortable, of course it has been more then 40 years since I was on a bus but they seemed more comfortable in my memory of course I was a tad bit narrower
back then
