The 7% figure is from an email to Kubota. I'm well aware of the way an HST works, if I was holding it to the floor in mid range it would simply stall the engine. I modulate the HST input to keep it running.

If my reply came across as harsh, I didn't mean it to.

Rock Crawler,

How are things going w/ the you tube channel,? I did subscribe but need to ad a like more often . I have a small ford, 21.5 pto hp. My grades are not quite as steep as yours but a challenge, For years I used my 90 inch Walco finish mower behind that tractor, It worked, would work today if necessary. At times low range was necessary, if I neglected a cut cycle, I would hold more a little high and make two passes, but it always cut the grass. Opinion: downsizing not the answer. 1/2 uphill in low 1/2 downhill going like the wind, like rock crawlers, right, good luck this season.

Majorwager,

I truly suck at YouTube and doing video editing! That's why a lot of my videos are not edited... I bought a couple programs thinking that if a spent a couple hundred dollars, it would make everything quick and easy. Not the case! I bought VideoPad Video Editor and also HitFilm4, after buying them I tried to fight my way into them, but I'm just too computer stupid

So I use that one built in to Windows if I edit at all... I prefer to just got record and walk around talking to the camera or setting down where it can watch me, and then just upload it as it is. Lame, I know.

I had considered monetizing the account, but for that you have to be able to produce video that humans will watch... And again... I'm just not that guy. Plus it takes a lot of time that would keep me from going out playing on rocks, cutting wood and creating my Oasis camp in my back woods. I hate video editing!

Amen Rock Crawler !!! I have been all over the place trying to find a SIMPLE, USABLE video editor. Something one could remove a time slice, add a time slice, do titles and annotation. There has to be huge demand for that and I cannot find it at all. Have tried several. Either they do not work, are so illogical and crazy, so limited in features or just flat worthless. Easy to find for still photos, very allusive for videos ! And by the way I was in the computer related technology business for more than 40 years.

Believe me it is NOT your computer stupidity, it is the video software industry stupidity.

You have about the heaviest combination you could on that tractor with a reduced final gearing and running a mower that's I imagine is larger then the recommended size on decent hills.
I think you are asking too much for a 26hp tractor.
What is your altitude?

Also is there any more throttle or do you have it maxed out?
