picked up a 322-D model for a project, it had pieces missing, from the previous owner it ran good, he decided to change oil and fluids, then it would only start but no power for movement or blades, after several attempts the starter died and he gave up with it.

thus far put all parts back on, fixed the electrical to the solenoid and replaced the starter brushes, re connected the hydraulic lines he removed and as best the wires in the panel, thinking he tried to short wires to bypass the key switch

as of now it cranks, looks like fuel is getting there as white smoke sometimes comes from exhaust but not firing, fuel pump is pumping and getting to the block.

have not tried removing the fuel line to injectors to confirm fuel is getting to injectors but I see no fuel cutoff on the block, the throttle moves as it should but do not see a solenoid, there is a lever of sort with spring return but nothing attached, is there a cable for fuel shut off I am missing?

thanks in advance groundsmaster.JPG

You have to bleed all the air from the fuel lines or it won't start. Loosen the banjo bolt on the pump, turn the key on, the electric pump will send air and fuel out, tighten the bolt when no more air comes out with the fuel.

Loosen a fuel line at an injector, crank until you see fuel only, tighten the line and try to start. May have to keep cranking until two cylinders are working.

Here is the fuel shutoff on my 322D. Power is applied on the blue wires. You can also push in and hold on the rubber cap to stop fuel flow.

Is this a fuel pump that has been added?

The stock electric pump is on the left frame rail next to the fuel filter.

On aT LEAST ONE OF MINE, THERE IS A LITTLE FILTER built into the pump housing. I think it was on the bottom

Yep the parts list shows it:

xfaxman, for some reason I figured the rubber cap was a manual fuel pump, I will try bleeding the lines and check the fuel shutoff blue wires for power

Power may only be there to stop the fuel flow. My 325D kept running when the key was turned off, so I had to use manual shut off. I finally fixed it, but it was so long ago that I don't remember the fix. I think I pulled the connector apart to check voltage and found a pin not making contact. Pushed the pin back into the connector and it worked.

well here is the update, bled the air out as above, found the break in the wire and now it runs like a top, the hydraulic had air also, it drives smooth and pretty fast on the ground considering it was not full throttle

deck is working as it should only issue is stopping

there are 3 pedals, I assume left and right brake?? the right one both brakes?? does this unit have diff lock?? now the issue all 3 pedals are sitting on the floor meaning they are full travel, maybe out of adjustment by previous owner but too dark tonight to figure it out

have a couple brackets and a micro switch left over, no idea where they go but I will take a few pictures of them and hopefully someone know what they are and where they go

took another look at the 3 parts, a bracket, plate similar to Popsicle radial holes on the top and a micro switch, they show up in the hydro-static transmission diagram, micro switch is part 2, any idea what they do???

the cables on the two brake pedals are backed way off so thinking just snug them up so the pedal is off the floor
