Pros and Cons of Kioti

Nothing runs like a Deere when being chased by a Kioti! I used the Signature line for a few years.

I just 'ordered' mine - CK3510hst.

Got cruise control - I plan to brush hog 20 acres regularly...
linked pedal - leave it at idel and when you hit the HST pedal it throttles up..just like your car does. Think it will be quieter, save fuel, but nice for general driving around/loader work/trailer towing.
Loaded tires - included free. (washer fluid)
LED worklights I'll ad. Bought a set of 4 for last tractor, only needed 2.

Got 1 rear remote - mostly for hydraulic top link. BUT could, with a long hose, run it up front for snow blade or grapple. It's a center and detent - so can use it for left/right or just leave it on and put a second control elsewhere if it's more convenient.

Stabilizer bars..my kubota has no adjustment and never needed it..so didn't bother with it. The SE model includes it (and a lot more (but is $3500 up charge...)

My old kubota (74 L175) started all winter even at -4 with no heater...dealer says nobody gets them...

Mirrors - got them too - my neck/shoulder kills me when I do a lot of turning around for box blading and such. We'll see how well they work in the real world. $64 so not a budget buster.

And armrest for loader side..$84..maybe a waste but not sure, so why not?

I always liked the specs of that model. Here is what I would want on it if it wasn't already so equipped:

3rd function for a grapple, or one or two rear hydraulic remotes
3pt stabilizer bars and extendable lower arms
Rear wheel weights or loaded tires
engine heater?
Eeasy enough to add your own LED work lights

I just added a mirror to my tractor, which I used to think was silly, but I sure do like havig it.

Not sure how well it will go over putting red equipment on the orange page. Did go with JD, their paint is just too much $$$. Went with a Yanmar YT359.

Yipee! I want one of those.

Interesting. Learned something. However..

I got a quick hitch of titan - like pat's quick hitch. WAY better than all this - AND - neither of my tractors has the extandable lower link OR the pin type stabilizers.

I used to think stabilizer bars and extendable links were a luxury. I no longer think that. They sure make hooking up attachments easier.

shrinking with age..so just under 6'.

Cab is nice, loved the kioti cab, but there's a cost to it (didn't ask...ye olde can't afford it so don't ask, right?)

I tend to get on and off my tractor a lot - hoping that will change with a hyd top link and a loader..and figured a door would be an issue for me - like i'd break it.

You should see me mowing grass with a ROPS..never had one before and well, slowly all th etrees are losing their lower limbs...

l have had a DK45hstse for awhile, has around 1000 hours, I've had some issues with it. I am looking to get a cab tractor and I too have been looking at that Yanmar. It is kinda pricey but that cab has like every bell and whistle with heat and air. It didn't come with a hot chick handing out beer though. I think my wife would object to that option. THe loader on the next lower model has more lift capacity than my 45, which is somehting that I am looking at.

prof fate, the reason I asked is because if you are over 6'2" you will have a tendency to hit the top of your head on the mirrors.
My CK27 DEMANDS that I plug it in at temps lower than zero.

I don't know about demands, but if you love your diesel, you plug it in when it gets below 10 or 20 degrees. A $25 block heater is a good investment.

Hey coobie, I don't have the pictures anymore but here's the receipt. Not sure why you would think somebody would lie or make something up like that. Hopefully this ease your mind. Also I sent over pictures of the latest issue with the fan chewing its self apartKIMG0057.JPGKIMG0056.JPG KIMG0057.JPG

I think they are junk and no dealer support. I have a nx6010. As we speak its at the dealer for a cab leak and issues with the backhoe. Like always the dealer says they soaked the machine and no leak. I have video of it leaking. Before that both lower front hydraulic cylinder that control the bucket snapped. Both shafts snapped and bucket came crashing down, hydraulic fluid everywhere. The loader was out of warranty and I called and complained but they did nothing and the dealer didn't do anything. Funny thing was they said they never seen that before. List goes on and on. If I would have to do it again I would get a John deer. I think it's a better machine and dealer support is there. Sometimes it just not worth saving a few thousand vs getting a John deer or kobuta
A follow up of your statement. If you think John deere or Kubota tractors are flawless think again.Research is your friend.

Jumping in at the tail end here...
To the OP- the expression goes, to my recollection: "If you have to ask, you can't afford it". I first learned that on at my friend's Boatyard/docks in CT, back in the '60's.
I find that if I make the mistake of asking or going to see what I want 'live', I usually, sometimes against my better judgement, decide I'll find a way to make whatever it is, affordable. Wife sighing and shaking head in background! :confused3:

To the poster HK45's comments about Kioti being 'junk'. That is categorically WRONG, and even more so inaccurate. To HK45; it sounds to me from your comments you have a dealer service issue, not a 'junk' tractor. I can testify to Kioti's willingness to help owner's of their equipment, especially their tractor both during and after warranty.
I will say that their dealer network availability in most parts of the US is expanding, and though not as big as some other tractor manufacturers, it is possible to have crappy dealer service from any color tractor brand.
As Coobie stated- if you do some research here and elsewhere you will find what he and I have stated to be true.
I suggest if you want to get the Kioti guys to help you post a new thread and detail your issues and the Pak will respond, including me, to get you satisfactory resolution(s).
Hijacking this thread to get further help is best avoided, which is why I suggest a thread in Kioti owning forum dedicated to just your machine. Let's get it fixed- it's not rocket science- everything is repairable.

/ Pros and Cons of Kioti #79
I did not hijack a thread. I answered the posters question. Then I had two member try to make it seem like I was lying about my problems. Second, I have contacted kioti a few times and they are unwilling to help period. You are right about the dealer but wrong on kioti willingness to help. People that are getting help are getting it from the dealer and they are paying for stuff out of there pocket not kioti. You ask how I know this because when I called kioti about some of the issues they told me at that time I only had two claims for warranty, I said how is that since I had it repaired 10 time already.

Anyways I want to apologize to the original poster if you felt like I high jacket your thread. I was being honest in what I said and how I feel about my machine.
