Just for reference my BB1566 box blade weighs in at $450 and is honestly a little light to use behind my l3901 for ballast.

I forgot to mention but I think OP should ballast his tires. Ballast makes a big difference! I agree box blade is not enough.

You can get two different buckets on the L2501. A 60" bucket with or without a quick coupler (I am not sure what the quick coupler is?), and a 66" with a 2-lever style coupler that includes the quick attach. I have no idea what the 2-lever style coupler is either? The 66" with the 2-lever style coupler is ~$500 more than the standard 60" bucket with a quick coupler, if I remember correctly.

All the L3x00, L3x01 & L2501 machines are the same except for emissions & HP. The L2501 will lift the same as the rest, but may or may not be slower than the others depending on the task.

You can get a pin on bucket (spend half an hour with a hammer aligning & driving in pins) or a SSQA loader, which has the 2 levers on it. Takes about 3 minutes to swap impliments with the SSQA. Both loaders un-mount from the tractor quickly (I hear, never bothered in the couple years I had my L3200). The SSQA loader is so worth it. As others said pallet forks often end up being more useful than the bucket.

The economy L machines are very light on the back end. You MUST have proper ballast on the back. Even then loading the rear tires is a very good idea.

I pulled a 72" box blade behind mine. It was a bit much, but I pulled it through dirt ok. It was to light to touch the road when it was hard & dry. I'd recommend a 66" as a better match for any of them. As weight & traction are the limiting factor for box blade work, not HP, load the tires & get a heavy box blade.

A box blade will be a very flexible impliment. A LPGS is faster & easier to smooth a driveway, but it can really only smooth. It can't move material. A box blade would be high on my list of you plan on doing any dirt work. It will dig far better than the loader will in all but loose material.

You should get the skid steer quick attach (ssqa) for the loader. Both the 66” bucket and 60” bucket are available for the ssqa. This device which uses two levers to lock and unlock the bucket is a wonderful tool. You can remove bucket in 10 seconds. And you can attach to other implements like pallet forks or a grapple. Really handy!

I have an L2501. 66 inch bucket and box blade are good width.

With Landpride, dont even look at the 12 and 15 series.
The only one to consider is the 2566. It weighs near 650 lbs.

I'm looking to purchase a L2501. I am getting the QA loader and front bucket (I'm not sure if I'll get the 60" or 66" bucket yet). If I purchase another kubota or land pride implement, I get an additional $300 off due to kubota's current rebates. I'll use this tractor for moving a lot of dirt and rock. I will not use it for snow and I will not use it for mowing. I do want to get a middle buster and subsoiler, but I don't think they are considered "eligible" implements. I assume the best implement for smoothing dirt would be a 60" or 60" box blade, so that's an option. The other option that I have is to get a land pride quick hitch. This would make more sense if I can buy a box blade in the aftermarket market quite a bit cheaper than from the dealer that I buy the tractor from, because, I get this $300 rebate no matter what the 2nd implement costs. Either way with the quick hitch (QH10, QH15, etc.) or the box blade (BB1260, BB1266, BB1560, BB1566, BB2560, BB2566) land pride makes several models. Which models would you suggest?

A box blade is a handy tool to have in the barn and not expensive.

If you do not really need another implement, the least expensive option to get just for the sake of the additional incentive is a quick hitch.

When I bought my B3350, my dealer said I could get a quick hitch (I did/do not want one and my dealer knew it) and trade it back in in the same deal so that I could get the incentive. I could have gotten the incentive, he would have given me $100 less than the purchase price as a trade in, and I would have never seen the quick hitch. Something to consider.

As it turns out, I bought both the FEL and a FEL mounted snow/loose material front blade so we did not do the quick hitch trade. I also bought a ballast box but my dealer told me that the ballast box did not qualify as a "second implement" for some reason. Perhaps it did not cost enough.

Today, my dealer had their Kubota Field Day. I believe all dealers have one. If your dealer has not yet had theirs, you will get an electronic coupon good for an additional incentive on a B, L or M tractor purchase that can be combined with any other Kubota incentives just for attending (you really do not need to attend, just ask your dealer). The coupon is good for about 60 days. IIRC, its good for $200 on an L, $300 on a B and $500 on an M. My dealer, with permission from my regional Kubota rep, allowed me to use this on my B3350, even though I bought it about a month before their field day. Ask your dealer(s).
