No guides on my subframe. What guides there are are part of the hoe body and I beginning to think modiflying or cutting a couple of them off may actually help. The guides for the upper pin holes are the problem. The opening points straight ahead instead of ahead and down as you'd think it would for something rotating into place. Instead of guiding it home, the guides as they are hit and push the hoe back off the pins. These guides should be rotated down a few degrees say 20-30. Then they'd help not hinder the situation.
My subframe had guide wedges. You probably had +- 3/4 inch. Backing with that tolerance is pretty easy.
