Dick.. take the BH OFF THE DOLLY ALL TOGETHER, use the outriggers and boom/bucket to set the height and angle of the lower pins. .. IMO.. that dolly is the problem. Once you have the lower pins in place, lift the outriggers up so all the BHs weight is on them .. and the bucket ( your dipper arm should be extended out pretty far)... then use the dipper to pivot the BH up... ain't no way the lower pins will push out that way.

I agree wholeheartedly. Mine "squats" down in gravel. I roll tractor in position squarely, raise stabilizers as you say...goes right in place. Tha' HO squats in gravel

I already did. I'll get it on with a spotter today. When I put back on the dolly, I'll drive the tractor up on some blocks to raise it a little bit and that should be enough to make the dolly work as it is now. Thanks for your help.

This is your answer dickfoster. Have to attach it from below the mounting points so once the bottom hooks are seated, the boom will rotate the top pins into alignment.

Yeah thanks I think I got it figured out now.

Well it sure helps if you know what you're doing. I'm having a new deck put in and the demo crew showed up this morning to test out and haul the old one out. They wanted to use the tractor to help I'll down the old deck but where he wanted the tractor was down this slope I haven't had the balls to tackle yet. Well this young guy who I guess was born on a tractor and raised on tractors said he'd have no trouble with it so I gave him the keys and said have at it. He was down that hill lickety split and deck was down in no time. I asked if he'd help me get the hoe on and before I could blink the hoe was on. Dayum do I feel stoopid now. At least now I can take on some of the slopes around this place so it was well worth the tip I gave him. Too bad those two kids aren't gonna be around for the build. It's good to see good kids with some work ethic for a change and some that know how to do more than play video games and whine on Facebook.

You should have taken a video of it so next time you can do it yourself without all the aggravation and grief.

You sound like a very honest and good guy!
I'm usually right 93% of the time, I don't worry about the other 8%.

One thing I will say, and I did lots of work today with mine is everyone please be careful! I knew of two people who flipped a tractor when I was a kid. Then about 30 years ago I saw a plumber in a hurry dig a long ditch with just a 7ft backhoe...no wall support...his brother jumps in ditch and was buried alive.
Yesterday I had a checkup with my doctor, he said when he was 10 he heard a guy yelling, he ran there and tractor flipped onto a farmer...he watched him die.
Better safe than sorry. I just cut a couple acres with a cub cadet zero turn on areas I wouldn't dream of Bush hogging.
I don't mean to be upsetting...just be careful!
