Just remembered another good reason to go to TSC. They have the VERY BEST rubber boots that I've ever tried. I can wear them all day long and not be in pain. This has never happened before!!!!

Stopped by Carquest .... we致e got twenty in stock ... ?

A company specializing in auto parts had better inventory of ... drum roll ... auto parts? btw my Carquest store is totally blowing it. They NEVER have in stock a 9" auger for my County Line post hole digger. :D

Stop interjecting common sense into this thread. You are directly raising the intellectual level despite the concerted effort of others to portray SOME TBN members as whiners and malcontents.

Ive come to the conclusion that anything that is in stock at TSC can be found either for less money or in better quality (or both) somewhere else in town. Last time I was in the local TSC they thought they had to get $16.99 for an OEM Briggs & Stratton oil filter.

I usually can find the B&S oil filters ($10.49) in stock at WalMart Supercenter, if it isn't late in the mowing season. I usually try to keep one on hand well ahead of oil change time.

I used to over buy oil filters, I have a shelf in the barn with like 8 filters on it, no idea what they go to lol

We are equidistant between two TSC stores and now have a Rural King in Ocala. RK is bigger, and carries more stuff, but doesn't seem to carry superior products to TSC. I have noticed that the Palatka TSC store is less likely to run out of items, than the Ocala store. which I guess is a reflection of the management at the stores. If I'm looking for Jeans, I go to RK, if I want Goat Food, it's a visit to TSC.

Yeah, I did a lot better than $16.99. I buy one per year a couple weeks before I need it.

I usually shop Rural King first. The other day I looked on their website for woven fence and found what I wanted. I went to the store and they didn't have what I wanted in stock. They told me to order it online and have it shipped to my house. That doesn't work where we live so I actually found the same fence at TSC for less money in stock. It is nice to have several options sometimes.

I've purchased many Countryline implements from TSC and I've had zero issues with them.

They're well built in the USA by Tarter. I've read posts on here bashing County Line and TSC. In many of the posts It seems from the description of the product by the poster that they haven't actually used or seen a County Line implement. It could be that their experience was prior to Tarter being the manufacturer of County Line in recent years.

If you are a member of the TSC neighbor club you'll get additional discounts sent to you via email which enables you to receive much lower pricing.

All the TSC stores near me are well stocked and clean. I have seen some new faces working in our local store but the new staff seems to be knowledgeable and very helpful.

I'm happy to have TSC in our area.

The anecdotal comparisons always seem to cause trouble. For example, this is true:

I cannot possibly shop at Rural King since a pack of gum purchased there cost over $2,000. According to their store locator, the closest store to me is 1,836 miles away, or 3,672 miles round trip. At IRS mileage rate of 54 1/2 cents per mile it cost me $2,001.24 just to walk in the door and say hello to the cashier.

To the contrary, I could hire a limo and go to the nearby Tractor Supply Company to buy the pack of gum.

So, the evidence is conclusive. Hands down, Tractor Supply is less expensive!! :D
