What was TSC thinking

Ive come to the conclusion that anything that is in stock at TSC can be found either for less money or in better quality (or both) somewhere else in town. Last time I was in the local TSC they thought they had to get $16.99 for an OEM Briggs & Stratton oil filter.

Try buying 3/8 tow hooks for a trailer. $38  I can order them bulk from a trailer place for $6 each  even with the $20 shipping, I'm still ahead

The only thing I buy at TSC is chicken feed, and it's always in stock. I used to buy dog food there as well but they quit selling my lowlife Purina brand in lieu of the foo-foo gluten free crap for the sissified city dogs.

I spend a fair amount on glyphosate in battling against Chinese privet on my farm. My local TSC has 2.5 gallons of 41% glyphosate (with surfactant) for $54.99 which beats my local Southern States coop's price of $64.67. It takes me about an hour to reach the nearest Rural King, but its price is $34.99. I usually buy 25 gallons at a time, so the savings make the trip worthwhile.

Steve and I have the same delima. I have to purchase enough glyphosate to make it worth my time and mileage. I typically buy grease when on sale and bolts at the local Tractor Supply. I like Rural King better and Agri Supper even more. Just not close enough to shop at.

I read (I think on TBN) that Agri Supply was going to open a store in Monroe, but that store isn't open yet according to Agri Supply has farm supplies, tractor implements & mower parts.. I've read good things about Agri Supply, but I'm not going to fight the traffic around Charlotte to shop there.:)

$38 for a 3/8 hook? It must have been mismarked or miscoded in their computer. Many of their cashiers are unfamiliar with products. Probably a manager could fix that misprice on the spot.

I do NOT understand all the business bashing. I suspect the most vocal critics have never operated a business. There is also the guy from PA, name not worth mentioning, that spends his days bashing Rural King.

Suggestion: IF YOU dislike the store for whatever reason, Just don't go there. If this is the major issue in your life, YOU actually have NO Life.

Well said

I like our new TSC, our new Wilco. I like our Coastal , Co-op... I have choices and the ones that give better service will get my business. No point bashing any of them.

Nope, had them double check hooks, then I did ask the manager. I was thinking maybe around $12. But then the local Napa Auto Parts had similar prices. That's why we started mail ordering the hooks in from Texas.

I've purchased many Countryline implements from TSC and I've had zero issues with them.

They're well built in the USA by Tarter. I've read posts on here bashing County Line and TSC. In many of the posts It seems from the description of the product by the poster that they haven't actually used or seen a County Line implement. It could be that their experience was prior to Tarter being the manufacturer of County Line in recent years.

If you are a member of the TSC neighbor club you'll get additional discounts sent to you via email which enables you to receive much lower pricing.

All the TSC stores near me are well stocked and clean. I have seen some new faces working in our local store but the new staff seems to be knowledgeable and very helpful.

I'm happy to have TSC in our area.

I have two TSC stores within reasonable driving distance.
I comparison shopped for a rear blade, and a box blade.
My comparison was visual, and was between King Kutter, (from another retailer) and Tarter Gate (County Line) from TSC.
The KK attachments were a bit less expensive, and were definitely better built than County Line.
I bought the KK attachments!
KK was definitely "more bang for the buck"!
What more is there to say?
