Yeah I am looking at the portable saws with the folding legs. Cost around $150/200. I bet the visit to the urgent care for the tetanus shot will end up costing at least that much. So likely a good wedding anniversary present from the wife to me. The push sticks will be quite important![]()
And always remember that if something feels strange, trust your gut and shut the operation down. One example would be a rip cut where the board wants to come back together beyond the blade (that's known as internal tension and it can lead to some bad things). That took me a while to learn but my instincts are now pretty good.
