It only got down to 39° this morning. Yesterday was in the 80's, dry and sunny. Today is going to be about the same. They show a 20% chance of showers for the next two days.

I looked at my list and found a few little things I missed. So I'll be working on them today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Cookout went well. Weather was good, little on hot side. Had 29 show up. Our first one was 21 yrs ago, we had over 100 show up then, but our house was new then, and people wanted to see. I got lots of leftover burgers, hotdogs.

Just missed getting rear ended on way to work. Stop and go traffic due to an accident, guy in a minivan kept getting within inches of my back bumper.. He finally cuts into middle lane, and ran right into a stopped car.

after my next older brother and I crashed our cars on the same night in high school, my father somehow got a
HASTE MAKES WASTE sign and scotch taped that on our bedroom door.
Never did forget that...

For those that use tricklers, or just appreciate a good bit of engineering, have you seen the "Targetmaster", that works in conjunction with a standard beam balance ? Worth a look at the video to see it in action (a minute or so in and the background music will make some think this will turn into a Monty Python sketch) TARGETMASTER - An altogether better trickler

Somewhere around here in a box that hasn't been opened for more than eight years (since the last move) is an early version of an automatic powder trickler. It worked, but was slow and somewhat inconsistent. It seemed to have friction in the pivots. The Targetmaster seems a better solution, but I was disappointed not to see primitive men and women dancing around a stone obelisk during the opening moments of Also Spracht Zarathustra...

Good Morning!!!! 76F W 9:45AM. Sunny. High 91F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

A friend of mine stopped by yesterday so we could nail down route and overnight stops on an upcoming motorcycle trip out to the coast, and he brought with him a huge piece of meat he called a tomahawk steak. It was a ribeye about three inches thick with a bone sticking about eight inches out of one end. He said he would cook us lunch! So he butterflied the steak, then proceeded to chop onions, garlic, and rosemary for garnishes on the red potatoes and asparagus he'd also brought along. At noon we lit the BBQ and by one we were sat at the table for a feast! Used a temperature probe for the steaks and they were perfect, as were the veggies under his watchful eye. :licking: Then about an hour later another couple buddies from the Los Angeles area dropped by on their motorcycles, returning from their Labor Day Gypsy Tour. One was having some brake issues, so we "borrowed" a part off one of my bikes and got that taken care of, then I fired up the BBQ again and made them some chicken breasts, a bit of rice, and a fresh set of salads. For some reason I don't think any of us lost any weight yesterday!

Sent them off this morning after coffee and breakfast burritos, hoping they have an uneventful trip home. I'll be dinking around in the garage the rest of the day me thinks...

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Does anyone have a computer that locks up about once a month or more. Mine does and all I have found that works is to cut it off and then turn it back on. Of course I loose everything I was doing most of the time. Ed
