How best to get rid of all these small stumps.

Well, if you had gone out with a drill and a stump rotter (epsom salts, potassium nitrate, etc.) and drilled the stumps and poured your mixture in them when you started this thread you would have been 6 months closer to elimination.

Now that this thread is trending to explosives maybe you could get the National Guard to carpet bomb.

I'm actually thinking of doing that. Got to many other things to contend with at the moment...let them rot over the winter, then work whats left in the spring with my grapple.

Stump removal is hard, hard work. I know, I watched Shane help Joe Starrett remove that big stump in his front yard. The thing I couldn't figure out, though, was why he built his cabin next to the only tree...and a giant one at that...within 100 miles, and why he would want to cut down the only shade tree on his property.
