Decided to take out a stump I left from the other day. Took this pic from about 75-yds. away with my cell phone. The green at the bottom is a backdoor light casting on the grass.

Those lights are awesome.

yours said to change the oil on the front axle? My XG 3025 just says to check the front axle oil, which I did have to top it off. Mine doesn't say to 'replace' until the 500 hour mark. I won't wait that long, just like I'll change my engine oil every spring, because even sitting inside a closed garage, there will be some condensation inside the engine over the winter

Yea it was probably too early...but there were lots of shiny bits that flowed out of the drain plugs. It was cheap maintenance and easy to do.

I have the XG3140 and the manual says the same as yours. Check at 50 hrs. Replace at 500 hrs.

I'm unsure what the front axle oil level should be. The 'oil gauge' described in the manual is just a threaded plug for a cap....no type of dipstick for a level. So I filled with 7 quarts and I figure thats close to 1.7 gallons.

Did a combination of snow blowing and plowing snow for about 4 hours this morning. We got just over a foot.

yeah I've questioned that front axle 'gauge' myself. if you emptied it, your manual tells what the capacity is, mine says 1.7 gallons

On my xg3025 the plastic plug is a vent. The dipstick is on the metal cap on the other side of the front axle.

Dug up a couple of trees. Then dug holes in another spot to plant them again. Slid around in the mud a bit.

Digging I can do fairly well now. Smoothing over the holes is another matter. Can't quite get that part down without using a shovel and rake.
