I gave one to my wife to put it. But still plan to buy a couple more. I hate to leave the key in. I have had problems with kids getting on and not starting the tractor, but turning and leaving the key on. Running the battery down on my old tractor.
we camp a lot, so today I got out the little splitter and worked up a couple bucket loads of campfire wood....
we built a big house with a big fireplace years ago, lived there 11 years. Had to go up 6 steps and across the deck to carry firewood in. Man I wish I'd had one of these then, sure would have made that job easier!
Couple of Beam Clamps and conduit hangers, a piece of 1/2" conduit, a $15 mirror from AutoZone and a bunch of figuring out how best to do it, and I can see behind me. Might have to tweak it a bit and I might put one on the right side also.
I've been working on a project, interupted for about a week helping my oldest daughter move, but finished it up today except for painting it. I had an old hay rake, it came with the old Ford tractor when I bought it 5 years ago. I've used it some with the Ford to rake leaves but esp pinestraw. But, the setup for the 3 pt wasn't exactly right. So, my project was to cut it apart and fix it the way I wanted. Got that done today, and used it a little to rake some leaves. We have several huge pine trees, so I made a couple passes under them too. No paying $6+ per bale for pine straw when I have some of the best trees around to get it.
finished off a couple of things I've been needing to work on. Last time I used my bush hog, I backed into a stump and bent it under, so I got that straightened out. I added a few more welds along the bottom of it, J Bar only puts short 'stitch' welds to hold everything together, not very well made at all......
after that, I did another little project. I've been seeing some here who welded receiver hitch in the middle of their bucket and use a boom to pick up something they need to be able to get higher off the ground, like beams/rafters/trusses during building. I am planning an addition to an out building, and that really looked like something that would come in handy. Only I put a hook on mine, so I made a way to be able to use my 3pt boom pole. Welded a short piece of pipe to a piece of 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" square tubing scraps I had, so I can clamp them to the bottom of the bucket, chain the top of the boom pole to the bucket and voila! I won't ever be picking up anything heavy with it, but there have been a few times I sure could have used the extended reach....
Added two lights to the roll over bar. Rigid brand, 60 degree diffused lights. They are awesome. The pictures, of course, don't represent how much light they put out. Here are before, after, and backhoe area.
