I am trying to decide which one a piranha bar or Titan tooth bar. I will weld the Titan setup my self. Just not sure which one. The piranha looks small and the Titan teeth look BIG, but I like big....and I work my stuff hard

I have seen all the posts on the piranha who has a tooth bar?

Going on a Mahindra Emax 50inch bucket.

I have the Piranha bar. Works really well for my application. It will dig but it helps if the ground is not real dry. Plus I am able to back drag with it and still get a smooth run. Since we live in a National Forest it is great for keeping the underbrush clear. It will also take out small saplings with the way the teeth and designed. Just remember that FEL are not made for abuse when digging ! To easy to twist the frame or damage a cylinder.

So I decided on the titan tooth bar so I can use my pallet forks and bucket forks for my plow.
I will be welding it up tomorrow. Here are a few pics of the mock up.

Looking good. Those are some serious teeth.

I bought 8 Titan teeth, and then a piece of 1/2" x 3" flat stock.
I made my bar so that with shims, I can use it with either of my buckets.
Easy to swap, and works great.

I bought the Piranha for the surface area it has. That being all the metal under the leading edge of my bucket. To me this surface is sacrificial when moving snow on our long gravel drive to not ware on the bucket edge. Id say I bought it 80% sacrificial ware, 20% other jobs.

It does work well in cutting brush, and fairly well with digging. However it did take a bit of learning curve to remember it is out there in front and what angle to use it at to keep from gouging into the driveway.

By nest winter I'm going to invent and build a clip on for the bucket to scarify the surface of ice as once the solid winter base of our driveway was frozen this year it has been broken hip dangerous to walk on. The Piranha bar works OK for etching the ice surface, but I can invent better.

My 5 cents of experience and opinion.

View attachment 585484 That's my Rankin tooth bar. Big help for digging & smoothing when back dragging. A piranha bar should do that also. Maybe not so much for digging. I've no experience with a piranha bar.

Do you all think you could still use clamp on attachments with the bar in place?

I think our tractors are about the same size. I cut and welded up my own Piranha type tooth bar. It works real well on a smaller rig plus reinforces the bucket. Ours has seen quite a bit of use and the design was to also reinforce the bucket edge. To me the bigger teeth belong on a heavier rig. Probably depends on the uses. Here's a pic of it new. Edges are all good yet, put the paint on the edge some how wore off....bucket.JPG
