BX25D rear remotes?

   / BX25D rear remotes? #11
My comment on "no hydro" was based on some previous post this subject. In retrospect ignore it as irreverent. I have followed a lot of the "adding remote valves" posts since I started on TBN. I have not seen the schematics on how the Fit-Rite system plumbs. I would have bought the individual components from SC. That saved several hundred over the package deals.

Me personally I would not like the new valves located away from the FEL system. I think the ROPS installs are a work around that would be cumbersome for me. Others may be happy with it. My scheme installs the new valve manifold under the FEL joy stick and use short handles on the valves. I use both my FEL and BH w/o even looking at the handles, my hands just follow my brain. I would have had a row of QCs mounted on a 2" wide bar just above the rear sheet metal panel. Using the existing hyd system for the BH as a source of power. I am a good tubing bender so would minimize hoses and snake the tubes under the bottom pan.

Some past posts have discussed T & T sometimes work too fast and restrictions are need to slow down. I would use smaller tube, probably 5/16 and 1/4" hoses for that reason. I only operate my FEL and BH at 2000 RPM as I like to work slow & easy.

Since down sizing I have not thought much about T & T lately. Since my FEL system of all that fancy linkage is getting sloppy even thought about a whole new hydraulic valve center incorporating everything in one place.

Ron, 5/16" or even 1/4" is no where near enough restriction. On the cylinders for these smaller tractors, (2" dia) I use .030 orifices with the T&T cylinders.

Is it the kind you leave hooked up all the time or do you unhook the remotes to hook up the backhoe?

Is it rude to ask what it cost?
No, the remotes/valves will be permanent but the 3pt hitch and Top and Tilt will get swapped out for the backhoe. Currently I leave the backhoe on most of the time for ballast if I am not using it but now that I have a box blade that might be me default as I have some roading and grading that I want to do.

As far as pricing, you can go to the Fit Rite website for the top and tilt kit: fitritehydraulics.com-pricing

With respect to the remotes, Fit Rite doesn't publish that so in fairness to them, I suggest you get a quote for your particular needs and configuration. It seems that there are several options, number of valves, couplers being separate or connected, hose lengths, etc.

I realize that, that provides a reason to use smaller tube/hose to make it easier to install in the tight space BXs. Is there a standard place to put the orifice? I can visualize taping out a inside a fitting and put an orifice there.

After some further researching, it appears to be a rare feat to install a Top and Tilt on a BX, especially one with a w/backhoe. So, I think this will be a bit of a journey.

That is exactly what I do. I tap the fittings that screw into the cylinder boss and install the appropriate orifice for the cylinder diameter being used.

Now I have the anxious wait for Brian to get me the goods! But happy though it is 'off season' for me and my tractor. I will report back (if I remember this thread ) when there is progress.

Hello Dragon Eggs - how is this project coming along? Very interested and following.
Thanks!

Got the valves awhile back but as Brian promised, the Top N Tilt kit was a long lead time item... I think he said 20 weeks. I will post again when it arrives!

There was a post before about this an the person had to cut part of the subframe for the backhoe that is mounted on the tractor for the fittings to fit.

Yeah, I remember something about that. Hoping I don't have the same issue! Supposed to fit BX25D.
