I am wanting to put a Top and Tilt system on my BX25D but my dealer says you can't plumb your rear hydraulics to operate it with rear remotes on the BX25D because of the backhoe configuration. I don't understand why this matters. Even on L series, he showed me in his catalogue, the OEM rear remotes aren't compatible with backhoe versions.

Starting a conversation with Fit Rite Hydraulics but wondering if anyone has installed rear remotes and a TnT system on their BX25 or BX25D?

Also, it appears the rear remotes are generally installed on the ROPS. Does this get in the way of the swivel seat for the BH?

Pictures of your set ups please!

If the valves get mounted on the outside edge of the ROPS, the seat is clear to swivel, same as on this JD.

Thanks Brian, I read your other post to my questions on another thread. Looks like connection to a backhoe outfitted BX isn't an issue other than for Kubota OEM! Emailing you to move forward! :cool2:

Mark, I don't think the BH has a lot to do with it as when using the T &Tb the BH would be off and 3 Pt on. Just need to route the hoses out of the way. I contemplated doing it also and decided to use the Rear BH connection system to feed the T & T. Was even going to install a 3 way valve to select the P line and leave the BH connection available so no hyd has to be removed to use T & T. Just plug and play for each function. Was even going to add a third valve to power more hyd such as a 6 way blade. I would have use valves from Surplus Center. My scheme put the valves on a bracket under the FEL joy stick.

Some stormy winter day, with nothing to do, let me know and I will come over and we can cogitate it together over a few brews.

Cheers Ron! :drink: Sounds good.

Yeah, trying to do my due diligence before I dive in. Seems Fit Rite Hydraulics is the place to go. I am wondering about placement of the remotes but thinking I won't decide on that until they are in my hand so I can do some fit checking. I have made a few other mods (mirrors, LED lighting, FEL tool boxes) and I need see how the ergonomics work.

I would like to see pictures of it. Thinking about doing the same to mine.

Well, I took the plunge and ordered TNT and 2 rear remotes for my BX from Fit Rite. Kind of nervous on how this is gonna go. Brian at Fit Rite is suggesting mounting the remotes w/coupler attached to my outside of the ROPS and looking at what was done on a JD1026R w/backhoe, that looks to be the cleanest solution.

Ron, I don't understand your comment about having to remove hydro. :confused3: I assume this will be plug and play?

I figure the mounting on the ROPS makes pretty good sense, as I would need to look back and see the angles of the box blade anyways.

My comment on "no hydro" was based on some previous post this subject. In retrospect ignore it as irreverent. I have followed a lot of the "adding remote valves" posts since I started on TBN. I have not seen the schematics on how the Fit-Rite system plumbs. I would have bought the individual components from SC. That saved several hundred over the package deals.

Me personally I would not like the new valves located away from the FEL system. I think the ROPS installs are a work around that would be cumbersome for me. Others may be happy with it. My scheme installs the new valve manifold under the FEL joy stick and use short handles on the valves. I use both my FEL and BH w/o even looking at the handles, my hands just follow my brain. I would have had a row of QCs mounted on a 2" wide bar just above the rear sheet metal panel. Using the existing hyd system for the BH as a source of power. I am a good tubing bender so would minimize hoses and snake the tubes under the bottom pan.

Some past posts have discussed T & T sometimes work too fast and restrictions are need to slow down. I would use smaller tube, probably 5/16 and 1/4" hoses for that reason. I only operate my FEL and BH at 2000 RPM as I like to work slow & easy.

Since down sizing I have not thought much about T & T lately. Since my FEL system of all that fancy linkage is getting sloppy even thought about a whole new hydraulic valve center incorporating everything in one place.

I am looking forward to this project, and I am sure once I have the hardware, I will look hard at optimal placement. I am not ruling out FEL mounting but not sure about how the hose routing would end up. I will probably mock it up a few ways to get the ergonomics best possible.

Is it the kind you leave hooked up all the time or do you unhook the remotes to hook up the backhoe?

Is it rude to ask what it cost?
