Woodmaxx Snowblower Shear Bolts?

That looks way better.. I always turn the pto off before I lift it, just a habit..

On your point 5- that top link shouldn’t need much adjustment at all- once it’s set. Most blowers don’t have an adjustable top link and do just fine- set it and don’t mess with it. If it does move too fast add a little flow restrictor to the circuit- it will slow things to the speed you want.

I took the tractor out after all those adjustments and it worked great blowing snow. I have another issue with breaking the shear pins, but I cannot hang that on Woodmaxx. Apparently the hydraulic control which is being used as the top link control, in the summer time is used at the flow on control for my backhoe. So when I put it in a forward or reverse position, it stays on and rapidly moves the top link up or down at a rapid rate depending on which direction I am pushing it. I think that rapid movement of the top link while the blower is going is contributing to the breaking of the shear pins. So for now, I am training myself that if I want to move the blower up or down; or in or out, I need to turn down the rpms, and disengage the pto FIRST, and THEN move the positioning. I think that will work for now.

I had the same problem with the hydraulic rotation being too fast in mine. Search for a 1/2” NPT flow restrictor fitting. It solved my problem and makes the rotation speed much slower and manageable now. You only need one restrictor. In this pic it’s the black fitting on the middle remote.

You know..... I must be one of those guys "who don't get it" about the drafting part of the operation of the 3 point. When I raise and lower the 3 point, everything gets all jacked around. It's hard to describe, but basically if I move it up or down, the relationship of the box to the tilt changes. So just by touching the raising and lowering arms, everything changes.

One of these days I will get someone to explain to me what the TWO levers do in tandem that raise and lower the 3 pt attachment. I just use both of them together because I haven't figured out what they do separate from each other..... call me confused....

My new FitRite TnT cylinders came with integrated restrictors. Think the ones on my old machine had restrictor fittings. At any rate, they are so nice for slowing things down & getting precise control.

You may need to modify some impliments, especially older ones. But when everything is QH compatible & you have TnT, it's so easy to hitch up an impliment. I can hitch up to a crooked off kilter impliment in under a minute without getting off the machine if there is no PTO shaft or hydraulics.

Did you mention you had a top and tilt before all this??????

The top and tilt does not have a float position to let this thing work properly, that is why you need to reinstall the threaded top link and buy hitch.
Disconnect the top and tilt and remove it and reinstall the top link and a new quick hitch and you will be better off.

Looking at the pictures I think that is a tilt, that’s a problem.

That is why I told him to remove it and reinstall the original top link and purchase a quick hitch and be done with it since
the top in tilt is only adding to his problems.

Why would the hydraulic top make a difference (and tilt)? If I just set it at a position and leave it be? My big problem is the draft levers. Can someone explain to me which of the draft levers to use or not use. That is what messes me up when I lift the 3 point.

On my next trip to Reno, I will stop at Harbor Freight and get their QH to see if it makes a difference. I think I have a manual top link around here somewhere.
