Yes, either of those would do the job. Based on the posts in this thread and my gut feeling, I'm thinking subcompacts are out but a 26hp compact is still an option. I'm not convinced I need to go bigger than my David Brown. Heck, in my earlier and poorer years, I did it all with a 8hp walk behind for several years. I'm only clearing about 750 feet of road, parking, and shed and garage access. Yes, it's a lot of snow but that video I linked shows the Kubota B2601 throwing the snow farther than my setup. Both my David Brown and blower are old and tired. I can jack the rpm to get more blower throwing distance but prefer not to.

250 yards is a fair amount of snow to move in you're area, plus the parking and around you buildings, I guess something modern in the 30-40hp range would be enough.
I clear 75 yards of driveway, all around my buildings and a 1/4 acre dog yard with my SCUT with a loader and rear 54 inch blower and it isn't enough.. I am looking as we speak for a size up tractor so it doesn't take so long.

Weæ±*e at a little over 200 of snow here so far this season. I am clearing it with a CK4010 SE host, with a 60 front mounted blower.
First, I heartily agree with your proposal to go with a front mounted blower, cab, and HST.
As to tractor size, I am glad that I went with the 40 hp version of the Kioti, but, on the other hand, even 40 hp driving a 60 blower sometimes bogs when doing what I call reblows , ie areas where you have to blow forward, into your projected path, when the snow is three or more feet deep.
Handling that with less horsepower can be done, wirpth finesse, planning, and patience, none skills or talents I have developed.
Summary: I would go with a higher power tractor if the budget allowed.
Having said that, our local dealer moves a lot of tractors, almost all with cabs, hst, and front mounted blowers. People with smaller, in town lots gravitate towards the CS, larger, but still space or storage constrained lots use ck3510 or 4010, Dk is a little bigger and now has hst and front mounted blowers, so it is a viable snow removal machine.
NX series would be my choice if, for some reason I needed, or wanted a new snow removal tractor.
The larger tractors aren稚 sold so much here, probably because there aren稚 many real commercial farms here to justify the cost of that class machine.

Get enough tractor is spot on. Have a 1742 Massey with a seven ft hyd angle blade and seven ft blower on the rear. Clean up a good sized yard and a half mile drive to the highway. The snow up here sometimes drifts in so solid you can drive up on them. Finger drifts on the lane just shoot the tractor sideways. A smaller tractor wasn't considered. Be aware that a compact with a cab will need at least an 8 1/2 ft door opening.

Having the ability of making that first full width cut in depths of snow anticipated is important. Here's my BX cutting through 28 inches of fairly heavy snow.
Your video and many others I have watched prove that subcompacts and compacts are up to the task.
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I understand the recommendations to go bigger. But knowing our snow and having blown it for 25 years, I am convinced that any modern equipment will be a vast improvement over my current setup. To me, the best tool for this job is something that gets the job done safely and comfortably. Something like a Kubota B2650, with cab, HST, and front blower will certainly fit the bill.
Right now a snow removal session takes me about an hour and a half. Would a bigger tractor with more HP significantly reduce that time? Even if it did, that's not my goal. I'm looking for comfort and dependable equipment. I'd also like something smaller than my DB780 so I can get it deeper inside my three-sided shed.

Here's what I bought (OEM cab)
Its small, but that's what I wanted!
Had absolutely no problems moving all of this.
Got video of that too.

If the BX cab had AC they'd sell a bunch. Sure, it'd take longer than a ZT, but you'd also not sweat to death or get eaten alive.
