So I got a quote on a backhoe bucket and I was about to order it until they tacked on $30 surcharge. It’s a marginal amount of money but it pisses me off. Am I out of line on thinking it’s lousy business practice?View attachment 596462
Nope. They should include it in the bucket price or the shipping and handling. If you are shopping around, most times they don't include it so it makes their product look lower.
Most companies do that now and the reason for it is that the fuel or steel pricing is volatile. So they are supposes to base that on current market price at the time of the order.
But I've noticed that when fuel is very low, those surcharges don't change.
