I have always had hydrostatic tractors. I did use my neighbors Kubota M7040, which was power shuttle. The power shuttle allows forward reverse direction changes with a lever but still requires a clutch to stop. I don't mind the shuttle lever but would like to avoid needing a clutch.
What transmission does that have? Our L3830 has the Kubota 12 speed GST transmission and you never have to use the clutch unless you want to.

GST is just Kubota for power shuttle, at least on their CUTs. Wet clutch with a hydraulically shifted transmission. There is usually a dry clutch in there too, not that you strictly need it.What transmission does that have? Oops, I was not aware of the VT option. In which models is it available. There is a video on YouTube from the Millennium Farmer. He tested a tracked Challenger which apparently had it as well.Bavarian, I'm not really into Agco, but Dyna4 and Dyna6 are powershift transmissions offered in base Masseys, and the Dyna-vt option would be what is said to be same as the Fendt. So yes not all Masseys have a Fendt transmission but don't blanket statement it that they're not the same

Possibly still out of price range for most of the users here on TBN.
I see, well Deutz-Fahr makes the 5100 TTV with a SAME manufactured transmission and the 3.6 four cylinder in that model puts out around 70hpThe only small tractor I have seen with a CVT is the Farmall 55,
then you have to step up to the 135 Hp range to get it again.
