it looks like they either are still trying to contact a winner, OR they found one, but will wait for the paperwork to be returned before they announce they have a winner.. I guess it will be announced somewhere..

I wonder why Yanmar is not following up on the good will their contest had generated?
It seems to me that for a company that makes such clever and technologically advanced tractors, Yanmar has always been strangely clueless when it comes to dealing with their customers and supporters.
One of the best sources for Yanmar info is still the Vintage Yanmar group right here on TBN.

I think the terms say the winner has 30 days to pick up the tractor at the nearest Yanmar dealer. Maybe Yanmar is waiting until they actually pick it up? So that all the paperwork is signed and it's "official"?

I saw it listed on a web site that list hundreds of contest to win things. Maybe someone there won it but did not read the fine print and is still trying to meet the requirements. (Insurance, $5,000 tax, and ownership for a year.)

The only taxes they would need to pay now is sales tax; the rest could be paid after selling the tractor between April 7 and April 15 2020.
That's standard for any contest I'm aware of, except the requirement of keeping it for a year.

I don't see where any of those sites say that someone has won the drawing, or that a contest was even held, only that it was promised. So far no results that I can find have been posted.
Adding to that, there is no mention of the contest in any way on the official Yanmar site (https://www.yanmartractor.com). There is no mention of a contest on their official Yanmar News/Events, and no mention on their "Promotions" page either.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a Yanmar "groupie", but I gotta say this "contest" seems a bit unbelievable.
