know what would be really cool and create excellent long-term value? Most of us buy a brush mower for oblivious reasons when we buy new land or need heavy mowing. BUT once things are under control on the new land or area, it would be nice to be able to swap out the heavy brush blades to thinner sharper ones. having a brush mower and finish mower "all in one machine" would really be the wise investment. Now my Woods Batwing 15.5 is too heavy duty now that things are under control, but I'm going to mow the fields with it anyway...really could use a finish mower but don't want to have the expense, room and maintenance of two.

1. Tool free height adjustment of the tail wheel.
2. Enough angle on the tail wheel so it doesn't wobble at higher speeds.
3. replaceable skid wear plates and optional front wheels
4. A PTO coupler with a locking collar, so you can hold it in the open position as you slide it onto the PTO shaft (I had an older Rhino that had this type)
5. Chain or fabric debris skirts.
6. Generous top link pivot for uneven terrain.
7. Smooth underside to facilitate cleaning and minimize debris buildup and corrosion.
8. accessibility to all grease zerks ( I have a Landpride, the zerk on the PTO shaft near the gearbox end is a PITA to get to)
9. If a shear pin style, make a carrier to keep spare shear pins.

I like this. I will add to it as already mentioned for rounded front corners. or, a bolt on guard thats rounded.
Universal type stump jumpers and not something that only fits your model mowers and can only come from you.

Boxed pins on the lower 3 pt hook up like land pride uses and not just pins sticking out there to bend like most use.

I also liked Land prides tailwheel design that they dropped like pictured. To me it held up better than the Y designed ones as it was thicker material and wouldnt bend as easily Also it let me back up very close to posts or trees to cut. RCR cutter.jpg

1 Easy to change blades like WOODS has, NOT Special bolt that takes 500lb- ft to remove and the need to be pounded out with sledge hammer.
2 Bearings NOT bushings in the tailwheel(s)
3 Bushings, or better yet, bearings on tailwheel pivot
4 Dual tail wheel option for shorter overall length
5 Easy to replace skids, full or 1/2 circle, not flat, so they will not dig in on sharp turns
6 Domed top deck that will not hold water. Water must flow off.
7 Heavy duty gear box and driveline (PTO driveshaft) with warranty to prove it!
8 Multiplate slip clutch
9 6' and larger; CAT 11 quick hitch compatible with CORRECT pins or bushings for quick hitch use
10 Heavy sides and rear skirts that will not easily bend from accidentally hitting objects
11 Stump jumper
12 Anti- wrap protection for output shaft seal so twine, wire, vines, etc, will not take out the seal
13 Paint that will not quickly fade and that will last

My crystal ball says India. Or at the very least, by a company based there.

It is from where your thoughts and experiences are important. Like i said before, i can not share the company or anything else. I am not here for arguing these. Let's stick around the subject cause i really want to do best. Awesome ideas shared in here, and i believe it will continue. This is all i care about.

Best regards.

Well... I am not working for Titan, we will not produce in india as well. Like i said before, i will not share my company. Beside that, It's all about costs and money. As you can see there is no company who cares about nationalism. Do not get me wrong, i haven't any problem about nationalism. My father is a farmer as well. While companies do not care about nationalism, farmers do. It's kind of naive.
Yes i want to harvest feedback, but for what ? To design product which you want. Are there any company who take advices from you with this way ? They are saying let's make cheap and sell. Farmers? They will buy it, do not worry.
Believe me, i do not want to turn this topic to debate. But com'on these are companies. They have to try make cheapest to survive and employment.

Any advise ?

There are several comments about bearings on the tail wheel. I don't have a problem with the simple (no bearing) design that most have today. I think the real problem is the spindle and the wheel axle collect grass and it binds the wheel and spindle. I think the same would happen even with good bearings. How about a tail wheel design that doesn't collect grass and weeds, by shielding the axle and spindle?
